Had sheep right next to us and woke to the sounds of birds chirping and sheep chomping on grass. Very peaceful. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side and it was very cloudy so didn’t get the star gazing I was hoping for but I imagine it would be amazing if you are lucky enough to have a clear night.

Our stay at Mackenzie pass retreat was amazing. wWe always wanted to do a tiny home stay and this was just perfect. Beautiful location, easy to find , well maintained and close to other places like Lake Tekapo. We will definitely revisit sometime again.
