A Culinary Delight The food served at Makulu was hands-down the best we had during our entire trip. Every meal was a delicious surprise, showcasing the local flavors and fresh ingredients. Dining under the starry sky by the campfire was a magical experience. Wildlife Encounters Galore We were fortunate to witness an array of fascinating wildlife during our stay. From the majestic elephants to the intriguing land monitors, the camp's location provided ample opportunities for wildlife encounters. The early morning sounds of the jungle were a symphony for the ears. Located 15 km from Udawalawe National Park, Mango Safari Camping Udawalawe is in Udawalawe and features a garden and a terrace. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the guest house free of charge. Your totally absorbed by the nature! You can totally relax with the sounds of nature all around you. The staff were fantastic and always ready to help answer any questions including “what bird is that” x 20. The staff were patient and knowledgeable and they made my experience amazing!!

Featuring garden views, Ahaspokuna by Eco Team features accommodation with patio, around 44 km from Haputale Railway Station. There is a private entrance at the luxury tent for the convenience of those who stay. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. The surroundings of the camp are just stunning. The gardeners Indika, Upalai and Kumara do a very good job. The area is very quiet and full of birdlife an other animals. Our bushwalks with Nuwan and Dimuth were great, although we could‘nt find any elephants. Kumara led us to a beautiful waterfall where we had e refreshing bath. The service and food cooked by Upalai and Rajitha was excellent. Thanks a lot to all staff - we will come back one day 👋🏼🙏🏻

International and traditional Sri Lankan dishes are served by the chef on demand, at the main restaurant. Athgira River Camping offers a great outdoor dining experience as well as a barbecue dinner and cooking demonstrations. Real wild cocktails and a nice wine selection are available as well. The property is gorgeous and very natural. There are no eye-sores, everything is very blended with nature. The two swimming pools were really lovely and the restaurant buffet dinners were delicious. The best part was the general manager who went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. He engaged with our kids and made sure they stayed busy with basketball, volleyball, arranged a village walk across the river, and made special arrangements on our safari to celebrate my son's birthday. He was like a traditional hotel general manager who treats everybody like his personal guest. It's a really special place and definitely a great base for visiting both Udawalawe and Yala parks.

- Pre-dinner drinks around the campfire and wine during dinner This ecolodge was enjoyable for my children, husband and myself. The tents were roomy and had flushing toilets and warm showers. The dinners were elegant on white tablecloth under the stars. The safari guide and driver did an excellent job pointing out elephant herds, birds and crocodiles at this park. I recommend this lodge.
