Wonderful Staff: Everyone was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome. Special thanks to Chef Nelson, Felix, Nelson, Peter, Simon, and Alan, who were all amazing. Safari Experience: Our guide, Alan, was knowledgeable and great with the kids. The safari itself exceeded expectations, offering unforgettable moments with the wildlife. Campfire Evenings: Gathering around the campfire in the evenings was a memorable experience. The sounds of hyenas and wildlife in the mornings made it feel even more magical. Warm Hospitality: The overall vibe of the camp made us feel at home and added a personal touch to the experience. Warm Layers: We ended up purchasing some lovely traditional blankets from Alan to stay warm in the chilly August mornings, which was a nice keepsake.

With garden views, Greenwood safari camp is set in Talek and has a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk, bar, garden, sun terrace and outdoor fireplace. We spent 2 nights in the cottage here. It was spacious and had a good en-suite bathroom. They provided us a car and driver for safaris. Alex, our driver was incredibly helpful and knew all the best spots to sight animals! The camp is 5 mins away from talek gate which is very convenient for quick entry into the park! Had great sightings of several lions, 3 cheetahs, a leopard, many hyenas and jackals, some hippos, and lots of antelopes, gazelle, giraffe, deer, warthogs, wildebeest, etc. There was a swimming pool on the property which looked great, but we didn’t have time to use. And all the staff were very helpful and pleasant! It is much cheaper than surrounding lodges and camps and hence do not go there expecting luxury. But it is clean, well maintained and in a great location for safari drives!!

Sitting on a shady raised platform facing the Talek river, each luxury tent covers approximately 26sqm and is fitted with a queen size bed or 2 twin beds. It is furnished in the classic style of the grand African safaris; with large four poster beds and reproduction furniture, offset by modern en-suite bathroom with a hot shower; flush toilets and all the necessary amenities. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were various and with a high quality of ingredients.

The tent was luxurious, clean, comfortable, safe! There were people walking us back and forth in case wildlife appears in the way. Sunset and sunset views were also top. The people working there are always available to accommodate your every need. The whole place is built in respect to the surrounding nature. The safari driver, Sietoti, and Rachel, a trainee, were experienced and educated, and was able to identify every corner of Maasai Mara and provide rich information about nature and wildlife during our daily safari game drives. A truly amazing duo who made our trip unforgettable. They really took care of us. Also, the food was delicious, chef was excellent! I would definitely go back again!

We had an absolutely beautiful week at Kobe Mara, in the Masai Mara Conservancy. We stayed in one of their four tents and had the most incredible wildlife roaming in front of our tent or at the water in front of the main house every single day. Sammy, his right hand Jonathan and their team carried us on their hands and made sure our every need was met with a huge smile. We went on games drives in the Masai Mara with rangers Moses & Alex. Their passion for nature and their culture was tangible in the experience and the knowledge they shared priceless. The chef Julius did wonders in the kitchen & the team even surprised us with a cake and little celebration on our final evening. The experiences we have had in the last week is something we will cherish forever. We cannot wait for our next visit.

Ballon Safaris Ltd. Office is 17 km from the luxury tent. Very clean, fantastic staff- all locals, v knowledge and friendly. The environment is surreal and staff were v comfortable with the animals. Food was excellent.
