Beautiful retreat, amazing friendly staff, activities included (we did a really fun perfume making course), lovely food, huge and comfortable tent with air con and lovely bathroom. Lovely pools and hot tubs. Can’t fault it. One of the best places we’ve stayed, wish we had been able to stay longer.

Built from mud and sheeting and covered with earth materials, this tent includes a stone bunk with mattresses. It is equipped with a fan and heating. All I can say is wow. This might literally be the best value for your dollar, euro or shekel in Israel! Perched on a small hill steps away from the edge of the majestic open beauty of the Mitzpe Ramon crater, Desert Shade affords you the requisite comfort of a clean, comfortable, and secure hut-like rooms with gorgeous communal spaces for dining and relaxing. There are several extremely clean, well-maintained restroom and shower areas around the grounds, and if you're lucky, you'll get to pet Michael, the regal 17 year old white lab of Ziv & Maya, the husband and wife team who built Desert Shade 30 years ago. Ziv and Maya are always around, checking-guests in, answering questions and providing insight and advice concerning all the natural wonders that the Mitzpe Ramon region has to offer. If you are coming to Israel's south for pampering, there's another resort at 5x the cost; but if you want to be out and about, discovering the abundance of grace & natural beauty of this area, then Desert Shade is truly the perfect, comfortable and affordable "basecamp" for your desert adventure.

Located in the Kana`im Valley, Kfar Hanokdim - Glamping & Camping is set in a Bedouin-style encampment village surrounded by palm trees. Bedouin-style encampment village surrounded by palm trees, a real desert oasis. Unfortunately, we were there when the war broke out in Israel but they offered us to stay as long as we needed with no extra cost so we could keep safe. They invited us for a bonfire, to walk around, and to drink some beers so we felt relaxed and at home. We can't thank Kfar Hanokdim enough for everything they did for us. We made really good friends and I hope to be back soon. תודה רבה.

A wonderful location, very comfortable and clean with many cozy spots to sit around, a well equipped kitchen, fire pit, jacuzzi... Outside in the fields there's a great spot to watch the sunset. Yehudit was a terrific host, communicative, friendly and helpful. 10/10!

This tent's standout feature is the fireplace. In the well-equipped kitchenette, guests will find a stovetop, a refrigerator, kitchenware and a tea and coffee maker. This is a beautiful alternative to staying in one of the high-rise hotels in Elat. If you are a nature lover , here to experience the coral reef and perhaps, the bird sanctuary, this is the place for you. We stayed in the yurt. It was a fantastic experience! The owners have created a peaceful sanctuary. The natural pool was especially lovely. We spent time snorkeling at the nearby reef. We also visited the Underwater observation facility nearby. It was really a perfect add-on to our snorkeling. The coral reef created there was a real treat, watching the colorful fish and corals from the observation windows. I didn't want to leave. We didn't get a chance to visit the bird sanctuary. Sad that the development of Elat robbed it of important habitat for migrating birds. The sanctuary is a hopeful effort to recreate some habitat for the birds. Williams House was a highlight of our time in Israel. :)

The entire staff was so welcoming, caring and really made sure I had everything I needed. Mark went above and beyond to make sure I was okay being there by myself and was very supportive. I really felt like anything I needed, the entire staff was there and willing to help all the time
