We loved everything: the peaceful location, the wildlife/nature sounds, the natural setting, the comfortable tent with its own washroom. Samitha and Damith were fantastic hosts who warmly greeted us, gave us a serene boat trip along the river, cooked delicious vegan food, arranged a fantastic safari for us and even gave us an early-morning wake-up call with freshly made tea and ginger biscuits along with a packed breakfast for the safari. We really enjoyed talking with them. All was perfect and I wish we'd had longer in Sri Lanka so we could've stayed 2 nights!

We had a truly unforgettable stay, thanks to the breathtaking Mango Safari Camping and the outstanding dedication of the team. We spent one night at the charming and peaceful campsite and were warmly welcomed. We went to the Elephant Transit Home which was an unforgettable moment in our life where many baby elephants are bottle-fed by humans. The actions and demonstrations done by baby elephants were amazing and somewhat similar to human babies, which was funny to see. We were treated to a traditional Sri Lankan dinner by the bonfire – the food was very delicious. In the morning, we enjoyed a jeep safari in the Udawalawe National Park, we could see ample of elephants feeding on grass, deer, water buffalo, and birdlife of the area and the scenery was simply stunning.

Amazing hotel, amazing safari! The rooms were gorgeous and such good value for money. I highly recommend booking the safari through this hotel, we had an incredible experience. Thanks to our tour guide, Lasa, we saw so many elephants and other animals and he was extremely informative and made the experience even more interesting. Thank you so much!

We had the best two night stay here with Solomon and the boys, the staff could not have been more attentive. They organised lunch for us on our arrival which was above and beyond what we expected. The gentleman with the glasses who delivered our induction (apologies I cannot remember his name), was so friendly and welcoming, he (and the rest of the team) went above and beyond to make sure this experience was unforgettable! The food was amazing both nights, and catered to dietary requirements. We ate outside under the stars both nights which was lovely. The tent itself was perfect for our needs, the bed was comfortable and we slept very well both nights. You could hear nature which was wonderful. Solomon is a very knowledgeable and interesting man, he provided great insight into the nature around the camp very locally and also in the safari park. We booked our safari through Big Game Camp and had Solomon as our guide which we could not recommend more, he was quick at pointing out a myriad of animals, whilst also being aware that the park is a safari not a zoo so you are not guaranteed to see anything, despite this we saw many elephants, different species of birds, mongoose etc. We would recommend this to anyone travelling to Sri Lanka!!

The food was great and their dining area is really calm and quiet. You can sit and enjoy your meal. The friendly staff always support their guests. The Mahoora tent is clean, the bed is comfortable, and the living area is big enough. Jeep safari is done by a well-trained safari driver.

Unique location in a coconut grove in the middle of the sugar cane fields. Amazing glamping tents. The effort that the staff put into ensuring our stay was wonderful. Great food.
