A tranquil place in the middle of savanna with magnificent views on Kilimanjaro, birds singing since early morning on acacia trees and amazing people who make this please special and take care of you like of their own friends. We arrived in Emali and were picked up by a taxi and brought directly to the camping. We booked four nights in a tent but as we had no car and our backpacks would probably not fit in a tent, we had to change for a house (additionally paid). This place is very safe, surrounded by an electric fence, gate closed for the night and security (Sam) is always there for you. Brian (Lerionka) is a great host (he together with Sam and my husband organized beautiful birthday for me), an awesome cook (his food was delicious) and tour guide - he knows so much about the nature and enjoys sharing his passions with guests. We went on one-day Safari in Amboseli organized by Brian with a guide Isak (very competent guide with years of experience, highly recommended), walking tour (spotting zebras) on savanna next to the camping, hiking on foothill of Kili and even a cooking lesson with Brian. If you would like to relax, spend time in nature, enjoy the views of top of Kilimanjaro and get an authentic experience in Kimana and Oloitokitok, you should definitely stay longer than 2 nights. Although a bit off the beaten track we think it’s a bonus as our highlight was definitely the nature walks with Kwenia, he is so knowledgeable and everytime we went for a walk we saw animals, zebras, antilopes, ostriches and so many giraffes not mentioning lots lots of birds. And unforgettable views of Kilimanjaro, different in the evening and morning. Food is also very good and everybody makes you feel at home. We stayed 3 nights but I wish we could spend more time there, we loved our tent, I can’t believe how crispy clean our sheets were! It’s really easy from Nairobi, we took a 1.5 htrain to Emali and we were picked up from the station (30$ for a pick up) I hope to be back.

All staff so friendly, smooth check-in. Loved the dance demonstration by the Masaai men in the evening, that was really special. Extensive, well-kept grounds. Excellent buffet meals, enjoyable lounge.
