Our room was immaculately clean & had everything you would need. We made use of the comfortable lounge & the free tea & coffee on offer. The tables at breakfast were beautifully laid with baskets of bread & plenty of options on offer at the buffet table. We absolutely loved staying here & wished we had booked more than one night.

Overlooking the scenic Douro River Valley, Quinta da Casa Cimeira, Guest House, Wines & Food is set in a historic country house and surrounded by a garden and vineyards. It features an outdoor pool and an on-site restaurant. Visiting the Douro region I found the best thing to do is to stay here. You will experience everything Douro region has to offer! Throughout your visit you will experience several tasting of the excellent portwines of the house. And staying there you don’t need to drive anymore. (Large carpark). There is a joint drink followed by a communal dinner. The food is excellent and portwines are used in the food as well. It’s a very nice to socialize with other guests. There is a lovely swimming pool with nice seating area overlooking the wineslopes. Rooms are spotless, very comfortabel and atmospheric. Last but not least: there is a beautiful 2 hour hike from the premises through the winefields with magnificant Douro riverviews from high above! This all makes for an unforgettable experience! We had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay near Pinhao. Make sure to save at least a night to have dinner at the hotel!

The room was a good size with a large private bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. It was a great value and close to the shopping that we wanted to do. We were a last minute booking, and the staff was very accommodating.

Great facilities. Shumara (sp?) was so friendly and helpful!
