Good location. Just in front of the bus station, beach walking area at the back, small local supermarket nearby, cafe and bakery, restaurant nearby. The hostel has a fully equipped kitchen, I enjoyed buying local foods, cooked there, talked with other guests. The room had a huge handicapped bathroom, and I heard that the hostel used to be a care home. I really enjoyed Galway, want to come back again!!
