Located just a few steps from the Sassi di Matera UNESCO site, Il Belvedere boasts a furnished terrace with panoramic views of Matera. WiFi is free throughout the property. The terrace was amazing! Great breakfast. The room was clean and cozy.

Set inside the Matera Sassi UNESCO site, Corte San Pietro is housed in a renovated historical building carved out of stone. It offers rooms with a private entrance and free Wi-Fi throughout. Located in the heart of the cave district, this hotel had wonderful food and great hosts who made our stay so nice. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable.

Beautiful location right in the heart of Matera. Easy to walk to shops/restaurants/city square. The front desk staff was incredibly kind and helpful to recommend restaurants, and even booked us a reservation. The room was very clean and well-kept. Breakfast was well done and included cuisine from multiple countries.

The room offers a hot tub, a king-size bed and a private bathroom. The room also has the option of soothing music. A very friendly receptionist who explains the whole exploration through Matera. Breakfast was also varied and delicious.

Antico Convicino Rooms & Suites is located in the Sassi di Matera UNESCO site and is set in a 16th-century building. Free Wi-Fi access is available throughout the property. Unique kind of accommodation! The rate was above our normal practice, but we did it! We booked for one night and had a memorable experience. Once in a lifetime! Unless we ever return to Matera, in which case we will book the same room: #29! We parked the rental car at Rocco Scotellaro parking lot. Antico Convicino is at 270 meters from that parking lot. 7-8 minutes slow pace. We also followed the recommendations and only took from the car the necessary stuff. The projector with Matera related movies was such a special treat.

Monica and her husband are super-hosts who created a lasting memory of Matera on us. Monica is super and communicated with us from the time we reserved our stay until the end of our stay in Matera. We had a fantastic stay in their unique stone house located right in the old Sassi. The beautify balcony/roof top gives you a beautiful view of Sassi. The location is perfect within walking distance to many attractions. The breakfast was super, delicious, and was prepared with love and care by Monica. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfy for our group. We had to catch our bus early in the morning, and Monica prepared and packed the breakfast for us. We truly enjoyed our stay at L'Arturo and had a lifetime experience and memory of Matera. Two-days stay is too short to explore Matera. We would love to visit Matera again and definitely will stay at L'Arturo. Thank you so much Monica. All the best,
