Loved that we were in a corner room with a good view. Good location easy access to public transportation.

Newly built in 2014, The Passage in Basel is a centrally located design hotel featuring a sauna, a fitness centre, free WiFi access and air-conditioned rooms. Its location is good, there’s a paid parking in front of the hotel, and in 5 minutes there’s a bus/tram stop which was complementary. Not sure it was given by the hotel or by the government though. The room was spacious, light, well decorated and clean. The soap, shampoo and cream were from Loccitane. We were given the patio rooms which was very quiet.

The Hotel Alexander is located right at the Messe Basel fairgrounds and the Congress Centre, a 7-minute ride from the centre of Basel. The tram stop is right outside. Free Wi-Fi is available. Location is perfect, very easy to get there from the airport and then all the sights can be easily reached on foot or by tram. Breakfast was delicious and there was a good choice of things. The room was super clean with a nice bathroom. The bed was comfy and the whole room was quiet so nights were relaxing. Even the late (after midnight) check-in could be solved.

The Wettstein hotel is located in a central residential quarter of Basel, 200 metres from the Rhine river, and offers you garage parking, free Wi-Fi and a free internet station. Super friendly staff, willing to go the extra mile to accommodate guests extra needs. Impeccable cleanliness, generous & diverse breakfast, refreshing beverages in the room free of charge.

The Basel Backpack is housed in a renovated historic factory, only 10 minutes from Basel’s main train station. The Basel Mobility Ticket (free public transport) is included in the rates. Easy to get the key when you arrive late, locker for free, nice showers, cool space to spend few nights.

The Hotel Victoria offers traditional hospitality and modern hotel comforts in the centre of Basel next to the main train station (SBB). Just overnight on the way to the airport. Couldn’t have a better location for that, beside the train station and bus to the airport outside the door.

The Central City Hotel Rochat is housed in a historic, listed building in the old town of Basel. We went for the Christmas market and the hotel was in a great location for this as we could walk to it in around 20 minutes. Also it is very close to the main tram stops

Hotel Schweizerhof enjoys a preferred location in the centre of Basel, next to the SBB train station and is easily accessible by car and public transport. Local phone calls are free. Location, cleanliness, helpful staff

Hotel location just right next to the station, great for an overnight stay to catch your train on the next day. Easy access to convenience store and restaurants.
