They went above and beyond, do not hesitate to stay here, dont bother looking anywhere else, this is the place to stay, the rooms are immaculate, they washed our clothes, prepared our food which tasted phenomenal, I dream about the tilapia! They went all out for my husbands birthday, arranged for halal meat! Wow! Couldn't believe it! Best hotel ive ever stayed in, truly and I have travelled the world, they even organised our tour for the national park, exceptional! Will definitely be back and recommend to everyone! Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart!

The hosts Isabelle and Justine were so friendly and the accommodation was lovely. Justine gave me a ride one morning when it was pouring with rain and Isabelle's spinach sauce is the best I have ever tasted! Thank you both for such a lovely stay. I hope I can come back again one day.

First off, this hotel is a hidden gem. Our tour company recommended their own suggestions and we were not pleased with them so we did our own research and I found this place. Wow! First off, it’s beautifully located right on Lake Kivu and is so relaxed and feels very safe with their own security. The room is beautiful, spacious, and has a great bathroom and patio. Moreover, the staff was outstanding and so attentive and communicative. And the food was outstanding on property. Breakfast is included so make sure to enjoy it. We also loved our dinner.

Located in Ruhengeri, 39 km from Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, THE TREKKER's REST LODGE provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. The place is great. It seems brand new, it's a great value for money. The man taking care of it was so nice to make breakfast at 06.00 in order for us to go hiking on time. I would definitely recommend it. Only if you have your own car though. There is not really a reception, and the guy in charge didn't know we would come. He had to call the manager to verify.

Akagera Ihema lodges has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Akagera. Gorgeous property, sweeping vistas, newly decorated, large contemporary rooms. Wonderful proximity to the park. Beds were incredibly comfortable. Large window in the shower has views of the lake. You can see Tanzania in the distance! Great restaurant with beautiful views from the terrace. Five star location. Don’t hesitate to book. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Situated in Ruhengeri, 45 km from Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, Karisimbi Cave Resort features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. I absolutely loved everything about this property. Everyone is super friendly. Even got a little gift which I have been wearing every day since. The food was delicious - big portions. There was hot water and the shower was great. I can honestly not fault a single thing. It is a really peaceful environment.

The Lodge offers everything one would need for an unforgettable holiday.The scenic views from all angles over Lake Kivu are breathtaking. The staff were incredibly attentive, always helpful and friendly, catering to our needs with a warm smile. The hospitality of the owners and the whole team made us feel truly welcome. The food was a highlight - fresh, delicious, and healthy, a feast for both the eyes and the palate.  Our room was spotless, clean, and very comfortable, complete with a spacious balcony offering a fantastic view over the lake.  We had a wonderful experience and we can only recommend the Lodge for a perfect holiday.
