Hotels in the Maldives

We just came back home and wondering from where to start this review. Rattehi Inn at Rakeedhoo absolutely went above all our expectations. New hotel with best staff and management who treat you like a family member. Hotel manager Niya lives the hospitality and will accommodate every request you ask. I hope we were not too demanding but literally what we asked it happened, from the tours off the island, special celebrations, additional dining options, everything. Menu in the restaurant is not long at the moment since they just started but we heard about plans to extend it a bit. Nevertheless, all meals prepared by the chef were wonderful. Buffet breakfast great as well every morning. Waiters Daminder and Eric and Houskeeper Baboo are kindest people we met, hard workers but always with sincere smile. Island by itself is the smallest inhabited in all Maldives, however there are a lot of options around and we are already making plans when we come back what to do. For the end if you are checking pictures of other islands, reading experiences of other people about Maldives or having any doubts just stop, nothing can be compared what Niya and his team can do here to make your vacation wonderful and make you sad on departure day, but with strong wish to come back again. A new guesthouse—clean, tidy, and completely insect-free. The rooms have everything you need, and the property is well-maintained and pleasant. There’s a fully equipped kitchen where guests can use everything, including a constant supply of cold drinking water. A washing machine is also available. The internet is excellent! Both of us worked from our room via Wi-Fi without any issues. Housekeeping was outstanding! The breakfast was amazing—fresh fruits, juices, and, most importantly, delicious local dishes were included. Breakfast was served at a convenient time, making our mornings even better. The hosts are simply fantastic. During the rainy days, umbrellas immediately appeared in the house for all guests. They were incredibly attentive and responsive, providing us with snorkeling fins and anything else we needed. Their generosity was truly heartwarming. And a special thank you for making our celebration unforgettable! My husband and I share the same birthday, and the hosts surprised us with something truly special. March 7, 2025, will forever remain in our hearts, just like these wonderful people. Thank you, Thoodoo! Thank you, Rangali! A huge thanks to the hosts and staff for an incredible stay. You are in our hearts! This trip felt like a true piece of the Maldivian soul. Highly recommended!

Room was cleaned on everyday basis. Free bicycles, masks and fins. Owner was responsive for all of our requests.

Our stay at Hudhufas Villa was fabulous. The place was spotless and tidy, cute and cosy. The double bed apartaments on the top floor were very spacious and wonderfully decorated on our arrival, A/C and fan in the rooms, a huge terrace upstairs with a chill out corner and sunbeds. Breakfast in the mornings had a wonderful variety, a mixture of fresh fruits and vegs, omellete, toast, and a whole load of other foods. The owners are happy to prepare anything to make you feel comfortable and at home. But overall, Shifau, the owner, was the person who made our stay this good. From the beginning he was very welcoming and helped us throughout our stay. Anything we needed or asked, he was a great help and always found a solution for us. Very good and warm hearted. 100% recommended.

Areef is an amazing host, he also took us on whale shark spotting, reef snorkelling and swimming with turtles. All these experiences were great. The garden and veranda is perfect to stay outside, the rooms are spatious and everything is clean. I fully recommend.

Very nice and quiet location. The best local island experience. The host is very friendly and provides all the information you need. Many options for day trips and activities in reasonable prices.

Fantastic hotel, recommend it 100% to everyone. The moment I booked, Shiyam (the owner of the hotel) whatsapped me and helped me coordinate the speedboats (60 USD each way, less than 2h) + sent me a catalogue with all the activities (whale shark encounter, manta ray, etc) and the whole trip prepation was very smooth and easy. Once I arrived to the island they picked me up from the port and transferred to the hotel and was received by Anoof - a great guy - who gave me a coconut as a welcome drink. The property is small, 7-8 rooms aprox and very well taken care off. It was inaugurated in November 2024 and everything is very new and clean. The room was very spacious, AC was working perfectly, super clean and comfortable bed and a very modern bathroom and shower. Wifi was working perfectly from both the room and the restaurant. The hotel is a at a walking distance from the beaches and the "main street" of the island which has some souvenir stores and tiny supermarket. The hotel offers bikes for free and you can rent mopeds. Hotel provides towels you can take to the beach of for excursions. The whole island is 3km long and you can easily walk from the hotel to the very end of the island in about 45min-1h. This walk has the most beautiful beach you will ever see. One of the best islands I've ever been to. Breakfast is included with the room and offers both a local option and international. Quality is really good. Take into account everything in Maldives, specially in tiny islands, is imported so finding basic things such as eggs or fresh vegetables is neither easy nor cheap, however this hotel offers good products. The food from the restaurant is also quite good. The Maldivian curry and the rice with Tuna were delicious. Finally, excursions have very decent prices. Whale shark 90 USD (compared to the 500 USD that resorts charge, and it is the same sea and animals), Manta Ray (60 USD), etc. If I am ever back in Dhigurah I will certainly stay here

It's a small new cozy Gest with spacious rooms. Gesthaus is located near the Beach. The soul of this Gesta is AhmedKhali, his concern is felt at every stage of stay. It helps to solve the issues related to the stay on the island - whether it is excursions, transfer or bbq from fresh fish. I definitely recommend to visit.

It was on a very good location, 5 min walk from the beach (you cant be closer) and nearby are a lot of restaurants. It was very clean, the staff cleaned it daily, food was also very very good Could not recommend enough

Wonderful, magical place with staff who always go that extra mile to feel yourself special. It was our First time in the Maldives but definitely will go back and our choice will be again the Ecoboo.
