A beautiful little cottage tucked away in the medieval village of Marvao. There's a castle right next door and the village itself is fun to wander around in. The owner of the hotel was friendly and gracious, and the room was perfect. It felt like I was staying in a distant relative's home and not a hotel. Also, the breakfast was incredible. Definitely sign up for breakfast.

Absolutely perfect! The house is so beautiful and comfortable! The front of the house is all in glass, with a breathtaking panoramic view! I's so cosy and all the details made us felt so welcomed. Every bedroom had its own bath, the beds were super comfortable. You have stunning views from every room. There was a lot of space. Outside, the house has an amazing private terrace, so comfortable to relax and enjoy the view! The sense of peace we feel there is unique. Irene is an excellent hostess and made us feel so welcome! We loved everything and we want to come back!

The house, pool and surrounding art trail were spot on. We also visited a vineyard and the walled city in Marvao and thought those were both great!

When we can't find any negative side, everything just perfect! The rooms are huge and so conformable. The place is inspiring and the breakfast is made with local products of the season. I loved it so much. I also work on the same busnisees so I can be very critic, bits this place has it all.

Fantastic location! Easy to park and access the house, which was within the castle walls with a beautiful view. Immaculately clean, lots of space, perfectly quiet, very comfortable bed, huge bathroom, and access to a shared kitchen and living room. Great value. Would highly recommend staying here!

If I can give one piece of advice, book for as long as you can, you will not regret it. Whether it is to move between the hammocks and the pool, to walk and explore the mountains or use it as a base to explore nearby attractions you will feel like you are in a little piece of heaven here. In four days not a single car drove past and my only companions were the distant sheep bells and occasional shepherd meandering by. The house itself is incredibly designed, the value for money is exceptional and Ana is such a kind and eager host if you need anything. If you are looking for a country escape, this is it!

Wonderful little part of paradise. The lady was exceptionally friendly, and even though we didn't speak portugese, she tried her best and figured out what we were saying. Always a huge smile on her face. ☺️
