There are a number of paths and areas to relax. Our host was most gracious. She only speaks Portuguese but after downloading a translator and with the help of her daughter, we were easily able to communicate. Good roads, not far off the main highway and a great value.

The staff are amazing and truly care about making your stay amazing. The beds are very comfortable with high quality linens and various pillows to choose from. The bathrooms have towel warmers and the best high pressure rain showers. There is a little kitchenette nook in the hall with a microwave, fridge and sink for the guests to use. I can’t say enough about the breakfast — fresh scrambled eggs made to order and and assortment of local and homemade pastries, cakes and jams. Yummy fruits such raspberries, quince and ripe fresh pineapple. My kids enjoyed the refreshing pool. You do hear the church bells clearly though out the day but they stop at 10pm.

Continental breakfast is perfect and very fresh. The Serra da Estrella natural park provides lots of trekking paths. In the Vila apartment you can enjoy a beautiful view while drinking wine in a jacuzzi :D The trekking during July might be hard due to high temperatures and due to high grass bushes on the path.

The house itself was spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated with charming details like fresh flowers on the towels. We also appreciated the bowl of sweets and fruits she had prepared, which added a lovely touch to our stay. The rooms were cozy, tastefully decorated, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and truly appreciated Deolinda's hospitality and attention to detail. We would happily return!
