Staying in this gem of a place was the highlight of our japan trip..being surrounded by t art decor was surreal..every corner of this MUSEUM--HOME kept us in admiration..Also it was spotlessly CLEAN and ,this home had everything that you needed..a fully equipped kitchen,a home theatre and even an open to sky extra bath..the 2 bedrooms are very tastefully decorated in Japanese style.. Inspite of the language barrier,THE OWNER went over and beyond to communicate and help us with all our queries...he was a very kind,pleasant and caring man....at the time of our checkout,we asked him to order for 2 taxis to drop us off to the train station..to our surprise,he dropped us off in his personal car and refused to charge us for it...this act really touched us. The LOCATION is superb,it's on t street parallel to historic street..Sanmachi street..There are a lot of restaurants close by too. I rate this home a 10/10..and will highly recommend it for your stay in TAKAYAMA

We spent a few days here in winter when outside temperatures were as low as -7°c, but we were warm and cozy inside, including in the bedrooms. We especially enjoyed the bathtub which faced out onto the snow-covered garden. Even though we had a car, the location was perfect to walk around the canals and old streets. The bento breakfast delivered every day was both gorgeous and delicious. We'll be staying again!

JR Hida Furukawa Station is within a 5-minute stroll from the property. Guests will have the entire property to themselves during their stay. Absolutely beautiful interior and exterior. It was so cosy yet so elegant. The outdoor onsen was so lovely. The facilities were AMAZING, every single thing you could ever need was already thought of and prepared for you already. The location was absolutely perfect aswell, basically in the centre of town but on a lovely quiet street. The host was so wonderful and helpful and because of her suggestions we went to a really great izakaya with some of the best izakaya food I’ve tried in such a long time! I woke up to a beautiful snowy view outside the window of the western style bedroom I felt emotional! (Image attached)
