It was a very cute cabin with and amazing view at the lake.We had everything we needed for short stay,we could evening cook some dinner on the kichenette. It was also very reasonably priced compared to other cabins/apartment we stayed at on our Iceland trip

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about our stay in the Hengifoss lodge. It's a dream to stay here. Once entered you're greeted by the warm smell of ember caused by the wood that was used to make this house. The colours and the layout of the room is incredibly cosy. The fireplace keeps the house (almost too) warm, and the window + terrace give an exceptional view over the lake and mountains. The hosts are also amazing and gave us the feeling that we're not only welcome, but also that they really understand why we chose to go to Iceland. We asked for help with our fireplace and the host, Isabelle, came to the rescue. She tried to help us to lit a fire but to no avail. We did however have a really good conversation. However when she left, we were content enough. Yet still she knocked on the door and winked us to come over. She told us enthusiastically that the Northern Lights were dancing and fully visible, we had to come outside! The next morning it was kind of raining, a little bit. But the sun was also shining through the clouds. The husband, Steff, called me when I was standing on the terrace. He said: "There is a rainbow there!" and pointed towards slightly behind the house I was standing in front of. I walked to the side and indeed saw a beautiful rainbow. This might not say much to other people wanting to stay there. But to me it feels like these people have such a connection with Iceland, its beauty and understand that we are there for the same connection, they told us to look at beautiful views which Iceland offers, and we were delighted to follow their guidance. Thank you Isabelle and Steff, for the warm welcome. Whenever we're in Iceland and planning to go near Eggs, we will definitely make use of your beautiful little houses.

The holiday home offers mountain views, a children's playground, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. What a beautiful location and perfect little cottage. It fit our family of four perfectly and had all we needed. We loved our stay here and would stay again.

The farm stay features family rooms as well as facilities for disabled guests. All was great but the Host have been the Most Amazing people

Skalanes Nature Heritage Centre is 19 km from Langahlid Cottages, while Egilsstadir town centre is 29 km away. This place was incredible. Everything from the jaw dropping views to the small details, like robes in each room, was over the top. You can tell the owners have put their love into what they do. Best place we’ve stayed in Iceland.

Lovely views and the property is at the end of the street so very quiet. It has a wrap around decking and plenty of parking. The house is warm, the beds are comfortable, internet is fast, tv is large, and the kitchen has everything you need.

The house was really clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed. The host was very kind and welcoming, making sure our stay was smooth. With mountain views, this accommodation provides a balcony. Outdoor seating is also available at the villa. Very cosy place and friendly host! Quite calm little town and beautiful view.

Each holiday home has wooden interiors and a bathroom with a shower, hairdryer and free toiletries. A sauna, hot tub and yoga mats are also available. Fabulous cabin. So well stocked ( yoga mat for me, coffee machine for husband). Everything has been thought of to ensure your comfort. Host came to greet us personally ( a first for me and I’ve booked many places like this) and came to check everything was fine a couple days into our trip. Sauna and hot tub amazing. No where can be more highly recommended.
