Cozy and nice house in with nice views. The house, garden, location, views and pool exceeded our expectations. The indoor pool near the living room with openable doors and windows allows enjoying swimming in every weather. Very welcoming and helpfully host. Helped us with tips for our stay, locations, sightseeings, shops and probably everything that could be needed. Location with nearly all day sun. Morning sun for pool and evening sun for great grill area. Well-equipped kitchen. During our stay there was everything needed for first days for kitchen, laundry washing, dishwasher, coffee, tee... everything We can definitely recommend the house and Porto da Cruz for enjoying Madeira.

I recommend staying at Villa Ricardo! Right after our arrival, Mrs. Rubina warmly welcomed us and showed us around the house and garden. The villa is very comfortable and can accommodate up to 6 people in great conditions. Three rooms upstairs, each with a separate bathroom and comfortable beds. The bedding and towels smelled wonderful! :) Guests have access to a swimming pool (you have to remember to let the hosts know in advance to heat the water), a spacious terrace and a living room downstairs. We also have a grill and a fireplace at our disposal. We also got a welcome treat (Madera wine, cake and cookies), which was super nice! We regret that we stayed there only for two days and not for our entire stay in Madeira.

Spent an enjoyable Christmas time here. Owner is very nice and was even willing to support me with logistics as I didn't come by car. That had great value in this rocky island where you can't just "go shopping" without losing pound of your weight 😂 Pico Ruivo reachable walking for serious hikers (12km far, 1500m climb), I prefered to take 5km of the hike on quite nice tarmac road as the island nature may be tricky...

The house is perfectly located as a place from where you can go on foot to several very attractive hiking trails. All of these trails have a loop option and you can return home by a different route. For guests with a car, there is also a very good and quick access to the levadas and trails in the area of ​​Santana and Sao Jorge and to the Sao Lorenco peninsula. You can get there earlier and much faster than from Funchal, which is very important if you want to find a parking space. In addition, in the morning there was always fresh homemade bread or buns waiting at the door.
