My partner and I had the best stay at Star Canal Cottage. After receiving a great tuk tuk tour around Negombo from Leon at the start of our trip, we stayed at his guesthouse before our departure too due to his friendliness and consideration. Our room very clean, spacious and light, with a powerful hot shower in the bathroom. The location is great, close to the city centre with restaurants nearby, but down a quiet canal road to enjoy the peace. We read and listened to the birds on the terrace during the day, while drinking home made lime juice before an excellent dinner of home-made prawns from Leon. A wonderfully kind, funny, and diligent host (and now friend), we will recommend Star Canal Cottage to anyone wishing to visit Sri Lanka :)

It was our first night in Negombo after long journey. It was super clean, cozy and with beautiful garden. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They took us from Airport to accommodation during the night. Definitely can recommend, and try their breakfast ;)

I had a wonderful stay at the villa! The property was clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained. The swimming pool was great – perfect for relaxing. Breakfast was really good, with a nice variety to choose from. The surroundings were peaceful, and the host was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend

An Unforgettable Stay at a Dream Villa! From the moment we arrived, we were absolutely blown away by the beauty, cleanliness, and peaceful charm of this villa. Every detail has been carefully thought through—from the cozy yet elegant interiors to the stunning outdoor spaces. The views were breathtaking, and the amenities far exceeded our expectations. What truly made our stay exceptional were the owner Mr.Lalith Croos. Warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive, they went out of their way to ensure we felt right at home. Their local recommendations made our trip even more memorable, and their genuine hospitality made all the difference. Highly recommended stay at Villa by Bluebird! Everything was perfect — the staff were friendly and always ready to help, and the cleaners kept the whole place spotless every day. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with great variety. The room was spacious and very comfortable, with flexible size options to suit different needs.
