The location of Van Reenen is a) convenient and b) a beautiful part of the world. The scenery is fantastic. The town itself could do with a good lick of paint and a rich and enthusiastic developer of historic buildings. There are a couple of very pretty house which are well looked after. it is a bit of a hidden gem.
it is a bit of a hidden gem. Roads are gravel which adds to teh character. about 6 kms from the turn off- the farm is located. rich history - well preserved. Van Reenen is an ideal half- way stop to Durban. the farm caters for meals etc and also has braai stands in the gardens. We had all our meals, dinner and breakfast at the farm. Next time- maybe book a room with a shower and also ensure that we spend longer at the farm.Guest review byMunsamy

The staff are very helpful and friendly. It's the second time we've stayed here. We had dinner and the breakfast, both were satisfying. Put this place on your radar even if it's just to stop in for a coffee and sit in the back garden which is stunning.
