Very quiet and beautiful location. Rooms are basic but very clean with all you need. Debi and Eugene are fantastic hosts and very helpful. Food is super….can recommend their specials….burgers….baie lekker!

My daughter boked this place for us. This is the most wonderful place me and my husband has ever been at. The staff, the food, the house and the wine was excellent. We loved the stay at Mymerings. Friendly greeting on arrival. I arrived earlier than expected, my room was ready for me. Comfy bed, air-conditioner was a god send in the heat of the Karoo, great shower. Wood, plates, cutlery and use of the kitchen for our braai on Friday night. Wonderful weekend.

    We should have called the farm manager from Barrydale,...

    We should have called the farm manager from Barrydale, because when we arrived at the locked farm gate, we found there was no reception. We couldn't reach him, and it was soon getting dark, so we had to keep driving until we got signal again, which only took five minutes. Wann, the manager, was soon there and opened the gate to paradise for us... remote, behind two other farms, we were able to spend comfortable days in this Karoo resort. Wann was always available, and one evening his wife cooked us a delicious meal. A river, a hot tub, an ice bath, peace and quiet, and an endless sky—what more could you want? This is the place to be for anyone needing a break. For more romance, under the stars, bring candles and reading lamps.

    The mountains provide a scenic backdrop to this Klein Karoo town and the opportunity of recreation for the adventurous visitor. If you go during the summer, there's also plenty of delicious fresh produce available. The town also boasts some beautiful Victorian architecture, which is best appreciated on foot.

    We didn't really stay in the village but I wish we had...

    We didn't really stay in the village but I wish we had booked longer to stay at the lodge. I would definitely like to go back when temperatures are a bit cooler so I can do the hikes they offer during the day. The landscape there is amazing!

    The accommodation is on a beautiful farm outside of Ladismith. The roads are in good condition and lower vehicles like cars can easily access the farm. We where 5 people staying in the cottage. The rooms where clean and is well priced. The lady at the property is very friendly and has embraced us in much kindness even thought we arrived very late at the property. Would definitely go back! 10/10

    Highlights: The outside spa treatments with real birds chirping instead of “spa music” The little garden of our cottage with braai and plenty of outside seating. The general prettiness of the property - really such a relaxing atmosphere. You can’t believe you are just outside Ladismith. Very nice baby crib and very comfy beds/bedding

    The reception we received from the staff was impeccable. We were stuck inland due to the floods and needed a place to stay, La Struzzo was booked on a whim and it exceeded my expectations. Everything was designed well, clean, comfortable and the entire boutique hotel had such a beautiful ambience.

    Ladismith Manor is centrally located and a quick turn off the R62 and easy to get into town and move around. Breakfast was hearty. The room was to my expectation. The pool was an added bonus and much needed after the drive to Ladismith.
