The room was beautiful. Some little broken spots here and there added to the old world charm without affecting the overall ability to use or enjoy the facilities. Bathroom fittings were new and tidy. Gardens are beautiful. Alfred was wonderful to deal with as was Dominique. Less than 15mins from the airport by car. Numerous restaurants close by to order delivery and Alfred kindly assisted in receiving the order. So much better than simply staying at a hotel chain.

    Close to the airport. Free shuttle was great and easy to find. Bed was comfortable. Rooms very old and dated. Rickety furniture, very old bathroom. Not that clean. Food was very average. Complex is closed off with electric gates.

    On our second visit to this hotel it was a stopover while waiting to get a plane. It was very comfortable and they allowed us to sit in the garden for much of our day as we had an evening flight. A nice comfortable place to relax. Good value.

    The Hotel is not positioned in the best area.

    The Hotel is not positioned in the best area. Most properties look neglected and frayed around the hotel. The area needs a good cleanup. Having said that, I still felt safe and unthreatened once at the hotel.

    The area of Kempton Park I was in, @Nimrod Park, was very safe and peaceful. It was easy to get around, especially with the place being at a good location, with many amenities close by. I had the most delicious steak roll from @Karee_Vleismark at 59 Monument Road. I can't forget the awesome memories I made at the ice rink too by Festival Mall!

    Mykhaya is okay with their location but passing through Kempton park to get there is really dangerous at night better travel when there is still light to see the road.Driving through Kempton park is terrifying at night.My rural gravel road is more safe than tarred and potholed Kempton park road.Looks like the entire JHB is on a downward spiral.

    Found the courtesy bus with the help of airport staff at OR Tambo airport, regular service, friendly and polite drivers, journey time was around 5 mins from airport to the hotel. We had a quick check in, room was spacious and clean, slept very well after long flight as comfortable bed. Safe was not working but we were only there for the one night. Bar staff were great, food also very good. Had a good breakfast, nice selection, left the following day back to the airport as planned. Would stay again should we nightstop in Johannesburg

    Everything one has come to expect of the Intercontinental brand - luxury, attention to detail, superior service, comfort and convenience. Ideally located right across the road from the main terminal at Tambo, the hotel is the perfect choice for early morning departures and/or convenient overnights when transiting in Africa. The upgraded room was an unexpected bonus. The 8th floor pool/spa/gym area is excellent. Dining, as always in South Africa, was superb. A highlight amongst airport stays anywhere in the world.

    We stayed at Witwater on our way to Botswana after a flight from UK. We arrived at the airport to be met by Innocent who took us on our short trip to the hotel. We were treated like royalty throughout our rest day and delivered back to the airport the next day. Nothing could have been better. Many thanks to all the wonderful staff. The best beds ever, a beautiful garden, fantastic food. We booked for another night on our return and it was like going home! The spa is amazing and very reasonable.

    Due to a 15h delay by our BA flight from London our connecting flight to Windhoek was gone and we had to stay overnight at the Johannesburg airport, hence the hitel booking. However, the hotel accommodation cost was paid by British Airways.

    Gorgeous heritage mansion and such an upgrade from the airport hotels nearby. The staff were incredibly friendly, Alfred is a true gem. By far the best place to stay near Johannesburg airport and will be sure to book frequently
