We loved everything: The beautiful decorated and big room, the private and the main terrace with nice pool, the perfect view (most stunning sunset included), the direct access to the beach for a morning swim, the delicious breakfast afterwards, the lovely service and very friendly hosts. The interior design was just incredible, Jonathan did an amazing job with that and also was a wonderful host (and cook). If you have the chance book the dinner with him. Highlights recommended! Also the breakfast is something special to wake up to. And these are just the highlights all in all just an awesome beautiful place to stay

the room was comfy with a big balcony overlooking the Ocean and Walker Bay. the area is quiet and safe you can easily walk around. Willemien and Stewart are amazing hosts, give you good advices for dinner ( including reservation) and activities around. We enjoyed the excellent, fresh and lovely breakfast every morning. thank you for the good time we definitely will come back !

    Gansbaai was a comfortable city with spectacular views where our family explored the southern coast of South Africa. We discovered hidden beaches, spotted many beautiful Protea flowers, sunbathed on Pearly Beach, went to the fish market in the harbor at Gansbaai, lunched on butter chicken and fish and chips at the Blue Goose, restaurant on Hoop St, hiked Klipgat Caves at the Walker Bay Nature Reserve, glimpsed a pod of orcas, and a mother Southern Right whale and her calf, spotted three of the Marine Big 5, dined at the White House, saw Danger Point lighthouse along a four wheel drive track along the beach, found crazy amounts of beautiful shells on the beach. It was an epic adventure.

    Amazing place and location.

    Amazing place and location. The staff were very friendly though, especially Carol who makes my wife day so special on her birthday much appreciated, she even upgraded our room that was amazing The ocean view was spectacular, and the breakfast was next level anytime again for me to visit Sea Star Lodge.

    I loved the laid-back feeling, just appropriate for switching off and being away from it all. The place is just some 30 minutes away from Hermanus. One is able to enjoy both towns on a visit to that part of the world.

    Stunning, modern and luxurious....

    Stunning, modern and luxurious.... Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home had everything we could possibly need. Exquisitely decorated and everything, right down to the cutlery and glassware, is high quality. Bed was extremely comfortable. Lovely handwritten welcome note and complimentary bottle of wine on our arrival.

    The hospitality of the people was genuine.

    The hospitality of the people was genuine. The overall scenery of the town, beach, and ocean are beautiful. The safety of the guesthouse and surroundings were comforting. The host, Johannes, personality is like meeting a friend. I will go back again.

    What a warm welcome we had from the owner Johannes, safe parking, room has everything in that you need and very clean. Owner was very helpful with recommending places to lunch etc. Breakfast was one for the books, freshly made and absolutely delicious, especially the scrambled eggs. Will definitely book again if we go down to Gansbaai. Wonderful stay we had, thank you Johannes, much appreciated.

    We liked everything. The hotel staff were on top of their game and everyone was friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean, well equipped and spacious, our bed was ultra comfortable, and when it rained we got to watch Netflix which they offer on their tvs. Perfect WiFi. Their custom breakfast is world class. We will definitely stay again.

    Very spacious. Beds and couches were comfortable and enough extra bedding was provided. The jacuzzi was a lovely added bonus which everyone enjoyed. Relevantly close to the beach, a bit of a distance if you want to walk but about 5 min drive.

    Really lovely service provided by the owner. Happily drove us to shark cage diving and back when we needed to get there and back. Room provided everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The best option to stay anywhere in Gansbaai.
