Tashkent is clean, safe, and impressively modern in parts, yet still holds on to its rich Soviet and Silk Road-era charm. The locals are warm and respectful, the city is affordable, and the food (especially plov and samsa) is authentic and full of flavor. We loved how easy it was to take day trips to Chimgan Mountains, Charvak Lake, and the Amirsoy resort all offering beautiful nature, cable cars, and a refreshing change from city life. I had a very comfortable experience in this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room pretty comfortable and clean and finally a good shower after a week traveling in Uzbekistan staying in places where the water pressure was the minimum.
