Beautiful little town - just the right, manageable size! On a Tuesday and Wednesday late September some shops closed - a bit disappointing. But the shops that were open are great! Wilmington was the ideal little Vermont town for an early October trip. The sights were amazing. The food in and around town was excellent. There was so much to do in the area, we couldn't fit everything into just a weekend trip. We at at the Alpenglow on a Friday night (get reservations!), and it was fantastic. For Saturday we ate at Jezebel's Eatery and again had a great meal (again get reservations, dinner fills up in town). The days were spent at the Hogback Mountain overlook, wandering the Brattleboro Flea Market and meandering through the shops in town. Such a cute town! Everything was within walking distance. There are many local shops and delicious places to eat. We enjoyed a hike nearby.
