We stayed in one of the small cottage’s. Although they are small they contain everything you need. The bed was very comfortable and we loved the hot tub.

Fantastic far-reaching views, lots of space inside and a large deck outside. Loved sitting out in the evenings watching the stars come out and the lights come in the valley miles below.

    Twain Harte is a charming, uncrowded downtown with a perfect...

    Twain Harte is a charming, uncrowded downtown with a perfect balance. It features a few restaurants, bars, and adorable antique gift shops. The Twain Harte Market has everything you need, making it very convenient. There are also some great hiking trails nearby. I highly recommend visiting Columbia State Historic Park and Pinecrest Lake. The Historic Park includes buildings from the California Gold Rush era that remain today, while the 4-mile loop trail around Pinecrest Lake offers an easy to moderate hike—challenging but definitely doable.

    Charming little foothills community.

    Charming little foothills community. Interesting street fairs and events. Having been there at Christmas time I can say that it is very charming, and summer is event-filled. Sportsman Cafe offers a tremendous breakfast and homey service.

    PARTY CENTRAL at the hotel

    PARTY CENTRAL at the hotel LOCAL DINIG WAS LIMITED - the nearby pub was sold out of many items like 6, at 4PM. the restaurant next door was not open until 5pm and the menu was all online, but it was yesterdays menu. We ended up at the Mexican restaurant and it was good enough but not really what we wanted.

    Twain Harte is a wonderful place to visit.

    Twain Harte is a wonderful place to visit. We were there to buy a home. The forest and lakes are wonderful and there is always .something to do or go and see. We also have a gold claim near Twain Harte and the men in our family always enjoy mining.

    It is a very clean, quiet location. Staff is very helpful. Recreational facilities advertised are not accessible to my husband who uses a mobility scooter, e.g., steps, wet lawn, high threshold, distant handicapped parking.

    It was easy to access. The code was easy to remember and worked without issues, so it went as expected. The contact person was super nice and helpful. We had easy access to restaurants in Twain Harte, and an easy drive up to Dodge Ridge and Pinecrest Lake. If you are coming in winter, be advised there are steep roads and you indeed need winter tires and chains with you. We will for sure look to book this nice home again.

    The hotel was neat and tidy. Rooms were prefect and clean. The swimming pool was clean and excellent to enjoy with kids. The receptionist was helpful and kind. He did not charged us for late check it and out. I will always repeat.
