Good value for the money and excellent staff and great view of the Taunton River. There's a PINK BEAN coffee house and the Grill Sports Bar and a Deli within walking distance. The Grill has $5.00 hamburgers on Thurs Thursday nights. There are no convenience stores or grocery stores nearby.

    The Inn was fine.

    The Inn was fine. Swansea and other nearby towns had a definite lack of "nice" restaurants for visitors - lots of pizza parlors and dumpy fast food eateries. Blithewold Manor and Gardens in nearby Bristol, RI was spectacular.

    Everything clicked just the way I wanted.

    Everything clicked just the way I wanted. I travel a lot and my room was spotless. Breakfast was fine and the room had all the amenities it needed. Left the hotel rested. Would come back for another stay if needed.

    We really enjoyed our time at Swansea Tranquil Retreat, and the little extras (cereal bars, popcorn, waters, even toothbrushes!) were a nice touch. The property itself was so spacious, and the garden was huge with lovely landscaping. There was also a wide selection of board games too, and the laundry room was like having your own launderette. Location wise, the property was near to a variety of shops, restaurants and a park area for hiking through the woods.

    We stayed at Holiday Inn Express Swansea East on two separate occasions. As we are unfamiliar with British roads, we found the location to be convenient for our road trip. It was close to major roads, a service centre and restaurant. The staff on both stays were welcoming, helpful and friendly.

    Breakfast was better than expected. I liked that there was a hot option every morning. the breakfast area we very clean and well maintained. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The entire hotel was kept very clean.
