It's a city you have to visit at least once in your lifetime and the better if you travel with your loved one. There are so many places to visit, eat and walk you'll probably leave some out. While public transit was efficient and affordable, the city itself was often crowded, noisy, and had noticeable issues with cleanliness and homelessness. The smell of cannabis was common, and food was both expensive and generally disappointing in quality. Despite these challenges, we never felt unsafe. f you're visiting New York City, plan for a short stay unless you're comfortable with the fast pace and urban intensity. Stick to well-reviewed restaurants to avoid overpriced, low-quality meals, and use public transit—it’s affordable and efficient, though not always clean.
