Very welcoming, both Richard and John as well as the lovely maids made us feel very much at home. The whole house was comfortable and set in a particularly peaceful neighbourhood. It was just like having your own villa with a fabulous breakfast chef serving you a beautiful tasty breakfast in an impressive dining room each morning. We parked the car on arrival and were able to do everything we wanted by foot as the town centre was only a 15 minute walk along a quiet residential road. We could spend as much time as we wished during the day and evening relaxing in our room which had a lovely sitting area or outside on the veranda or downstairs in the lounge areas. Probably the most relaxing six days we have ever spent on holiday

Place was reasonably clean. No not expect too much for such price. If you look for 5-star experience, then go to a 5-star hotel. A good night sleep for a reasonable price is all you'll get.

Bath itself is a very small area, not much to do except see from the outside, some historical buildings, unless you bring your boat. ( It's on the river. ) Blackbeards Tavern is the only restaurant in walking distance of town. Food was good and reasonable. There is a gift shop/store that has limited hours. You can see everything in just a few hours.
