Had a great stay at the Joleen Safari Park Hotel. The Owner and staff are very professional and helpful in this new small hotel, which is well maintained and peaceful.There was always staff there 24 hours a day if you needed anything. I had some amazing local dishes for dinner but they would make what you like. The beaches are close by, beautiful, clean and empty , except for a for local fisherman. I had a few nice surf sessions and arranged though the hotel a cheap taxi and the driver was super nice and helpful who got me to all the best beaches. I stayed on for twice as long.

The rooms were clean, top-tier staff, and the breakfast was amazing. I saw a lot of people complaining about the breakfast in the comment section, so I guess they improved on that. The hotel itself is so beautiful, aesthetically pleasing.

Hotel is really nice and comfortable. Room was big, bed very comfortable. Tea and coffee provided in the room. Really close to ferry, like 8 min by walk. They have 24h restaurant so you can order food whenever you want, which is very convenient. Staff is really helpful.

This is a great hotel at a great location, along the main road in Oyster Bay, and within easy reach of the waterfronts to both sides. My room was large, with a comfortable big bed. There was a good working desk, very good Wifi, fresh drinking water every day. A/C was functioning well all the time. Staff were very nice and helpful. There's a huge restaurant on the ground floor. Across the street there's a supermarket, there's many restaurants (try the great fish restaurant Samaki Samaki, but also the restaurant across from it has fresh grilled fish) and shops around, and an ATM, money exchange and pharmacy right next door. If you need a tuc-tuc or motorcycle taxi, they are all around. Big parking place on the hotel grounds too.

    Dar es Salaam is a great city if you know where to go.

    Dar es Salaam is a great city if you know where to go. It’s best to be in a group or have a local host to truly enjoy your stay. I’d recommend avoiding driving in the city center due to the heavy crowds and constant traffic jams.

    What a great city. So much to do!

    What a great city. So much to do! Highly recommend Bravo Coco Beach for that Miami vibe, and Wavuvi Kempu for a taste of the nightlife in Dar. Waterfront is best for that sundowner dinner and drink with your loved ones.

    Dar is much safer than Nairobi. recommended for traveller, businessman, investor, its growing country and DAR is the biggest city of Tanzania. Dar es Salaam is indeed a rapidly growing city in Tanzania. It's one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the world. for traveller with family i suggest to selecting Dar es Saalam because nice beaches, people is user friendly, Mikumi, Selous national park, zanzibar with state of art ferry facility from Dar to ZNZ. BRT bus services, SGR railway, Taxi, uber, bike and self drive rent a car is available. almost 40+ country food restaurants. ofcource day time is 100% safe but during night time also safe if we have local language speaker guide

    Mega City 8 Milion = all austria - mega problem with safety and trust mega issue at beaches with GARBIDGE and ALL SEWAGE goes into the sea ... permanent TIP seeking ppl anywhere .. Security of the Appartment bookings must be clearly mentioned ... Lovely ppl .. white people are suppose to pay far more for Ferry ticket than other locals ... simply trust noone ..

    It's a local hotel, well situated where you can have a really good taste of what local life is in Dar es Salaam. Very welcoming, so clean, quiet neighborhood and the bed is really comfortable. Yahaya and the manager are awesome, they listen to your needs and make sure that you have an amazing stay. Their driver is just amazing. You feel safe with him going around the city even if it's the chaos with traffic. I recommand this local place all the way. Please note that you have to pay in Tanzanian Shillings only.
