Chiang Khong, a lovely little town next to the river.
Chiang Khong, a lovely little town next to the river. Views are amazing and the food is good. It is not very big so staying for an extended time may be dull for some. Great for relaxing and quiet. Excellent for walking and/or riding bicycles.Guest review byKKC68United States - 8.0
I liked to have riverview.
I liked to have riverview. We had two single beds that we rearranged such that they were mire close to eachother. Not perfect but ok. For one person the bed was too hard, for the other it was good. Was great to be on the (small) balcony to look at the river, but there were no seats. I used the pool, but at the time of the day the two high building on the side avoided all sunshine to warm up the water. We also had to use our own towels from the room, one per person. Checkout was fast without checking the room. Few hours after we left, we were in Chiang Rai already, staff called us that they we left behind a watch. They agreed to send it to our home in Chiang Mai. Great service that we really appreciate.Guest review bySterkNetherlands

Very nice to chat and they also arranged the boat to Luang Prabang which was an amazing experience. Very much recommended. The hotel is on a very quite nice spot on the water. In town there are mostly Thai tourists which gives it a more calm atmosphere. If you like more hustle and western tourists the Lao side of the border seems better. Was nice to hang around here and relax, could borrow a bike from the hotel to explore the boulevard and some temples. Room was big and nice view from the balconyGuest review byJudyNetherlands

The owner was waiting for me at the border from Laos, and gave me a free ride to the hotel. He was super friendly and cheery, as was everyone else once we arrived! The rooms/buildings were cute and very well furnished. There is a restaurant next door that serves great food, and breakfast was lovely too. It’s located in the heart of Chiang Khong city. The beds were very comfortable, and the shower had strong water pressure and was hot. Although the staff wasn’t there to greet us when we arrived, we rang the bell as the sign said, and she came right away. She was very helpful and helped us immensely.
