Sturovo is directly across the Danube from touristy...
Sturovo is directly across the Danube from touristy Esztergom in Hungary and it is very plain in comparison. Being in Slovakia it is a cheaper place to stay or to shop. The centre of the town is very quiet in the evenings with just some dimly lit bars and few places serving food. This part of Slovakia is very run down with many buildings abandoned and in advanced decay. We rented an apartment with a fireplace, the staff was very kind to us and provided everything we needed. In the yard there is a good playground with a trampoline, table tennis, and a swing, which made our son very happy. We also used the barbecue area and the fireplace in the room.
