I was given a bigger room even though I book for a single pax room....it was clean and quiet and bed was very comfy...hotel also provide map and guide book for places to visit in Valjevo.... breakfast spread was ok and on days that when there was less guests I am given a la carte menu to choose from... staff was friendly and English speaking which make my stay very enjoyable....Best part is I am able to watch some matches of the world cup at the cafe....while having dinner and my glass of wine...

This was amazing. My hosts made my stay. Not only could I leave my backpack already at the place when I arrived before check-in time, but.. they were absolutely the best: I wanted to go hiking in a canyon which is hard to reach with public transport, and they gave me a ride :) They also had many, many tips and information on the town and its surroundings, especially the nature. Thank you so very, very much. The apt itself is also wonderful (and very close to both bus station and center) everything is new and sparkling, and extremely well-equipped. Great bed, wonderful shower, lovely balcony. I so enjoyed my stay, and when I come back to Valjevo, this place will be my very,very first choice.

    Valjevo is just 75 minutes from Belgrade by car. It is a peaceful town in western Serbia, full with restorants, shops and helpful and kind people. River Gradac is a hidden gem, close to city center but still far enough for good hiking. Clean water, monesteris, forest and hiking trails would take you into relaxed, still adventures state of mind. There are many mountains around Valjevo, waterfalls, lakes... Nature is beautiful, food is tasty, people are kind. But, don't believe me, see for yourself.

    We chose Valjevo because of the Celije and Lelic Monasteries...

    We chose Valjevo because of the Celije and Lelic Monasteries, since its close to them. Saint Justin of Celije and Saint Nikolai of Zica and Ohrid are 2 great saints of our last times, and we need their prayers. Valjevo is nice for walks, nice food as well.

    We hired a guide (Zeljko Petrović) who bring us in family to taste wonderful real serbian late lunches. We visit the 4 monasteries around Veljevo, a city sightseeing tour, a school, the old area, the markets, etc. We also did some hiking in the mountains around and the river. It was an amazing week, the guide maked all the difference!
