The studio apartment was very pretty, newly remodeled and perfectly clean. All the appliances were brand new. The owners thought of every detail. A choice of teas and coffees were provided in the kitchenette, together with silver-, glass- and dishware. The fridge was stocked with water and sodas. Shower toiletries were provided in the bathroom. All the accessories were color coordinated. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. The apartment was just off the main street and pretty quiet. It was easy accessible - on the first floor (high ground floor in Europe) by quick flight of stairs or a ramp. There was a building parking lot in front of the apartment.

The location of the apartment is superb, with a lovely view of the lake. The property is set in beautiful garden and is tastefully furnished. When my husband and I arrived, we were warmly welcomed by hosts, Emina and Boško, who were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Vila Vera Borsko Jezero. If we are in the area again, we will definitely stay there and will stay longer.

My hosts :) A very nice and welcoming couple with much knowledge about the history of the mining town, who waited for me past check-in time when the bus was delayed and figured out how I could leave Bor again (no trains on sunday...) and brought me to the bus station. Excellent and detailed instructions how to get to the apartment (including which elevator to use, which is indeed confusing). The apartment has everything you need, a well-equiped kitchen, a good shower, a living room with dining table, and the best, a balcony with a wonderful view on the mountains (it's on the 9th floor, so you can look over the city). It is located between the center and the bus station (note: gmaps puts the bus station next to the train station in the center, but the new bus station is in the southern outskirts), both a short, max 10 min. walk.

Everything was amazing, even better than in the photos! The villa is in a quiet area with a beautiful balcony view. The owners were very warm and welcoming, and more than helpful during our stay. They even filled the fridge and cabinets for us, which was such a nice surprise. There’s also an outdoor barbecue area, and you can pick fresh plums from the property. Truly a great place to relax and enjoy — highly recommended!

    We could not see lots of things in Bor.

    We could not see lots of things in Bor. There are no sightseeing related to the history of Serbia -it is more industrial town but very interesting decorated. Everything is related to the mining industry there. The parks are lots and beautiful.

    In all fairness, Bor town is place to avoid, but this is...

    In all fairness, Bor town is place to avoid, but this is luckily made up by the beautiful rolling hills and mountains 10-20km away from the town. The city itself is one of the most depressing places, due to the proximity of the huge copper mine, which spreads its dust all over. Our highlight in the city was probably a 5 minutes stop at various viewpoints overlooking the copper mine, and judging the human destruction of the landscape. Although the society needs copper for various reasons, the various types of polution caused by the mine make the city not the healthiest for lungs.
