Cluj is somewhere I have wanted to visit for a few years now and it didn't disappoint. It is easy to explore on foot. It is friendly, clean, and has plenty to do. There are so many great cafes, bars, and restaurants. We did not have a bad experience at any, and we very much enjoyed the food and nightlife. Great city with a lot of young people.

Nice place for socialising.
Nice place for socialising. Suited us has we were happy dinning and drinking. Past that, we didn't bother with anything else. Transport was either free or very cheap,that's brilliant, any where else I've been you've had felt ripped off at first point of contact. Best value for money I've spent aboard. The city has beautiful architecture, with many old buildings. The people seem more cultured and calm compared to Bucharest. At first glance, they appear very kind and friendly. The common room was full of useful info about Romania and the receptionist really helpful. I loved the coffee machine and the travellers staying the same time as me were really friendly. The window of the top dorm made me think of the inn in “Fearless Vampire Killers” so I knew I was getting closer to the count. The property did not get too hot, even with 6 people and no air conditioning.
