Setubal is absolutely fabulous and I am so glad I decided to extend my trip at the last minute and add Setubal. It has a great vibe. Lovely cobblestone streets and colorful buildings. Shops and restaurants on every street. There's the water and beachfront. There are lots of lovely green spaces, parks and playgrounds and gardens. We visited Setúbal for a short family getaway and had a fantastic time. The marina and town are filled with excellent restaurants serving fresh seafood, with options ranging from budget-friendly to more upscale dining. One of the highlights was the catamaran dolphin cruise—a wonderful experience. We spotted dolphins and enjoyed a scenic 3-hour journey along the beautiful coastline. It was definitely worth it. Troia Island, just a 20-minute catamaran ride away, was another gem. With its white sandy beaches, vibrant bars, great restaurants, and stylish hotels, it quickly became one of our favorite spots. Getting to Lisbon was also a breeze, with excellent transport connections: only 35 minutes by taxi, or around 45 minutes by train.Guest review byIrisUnited Kingdom - 8.0

I did not find it on my first night there, it was hidden behind a sidewalk cafe, I emailed, no staff, no reply,found it next morning,finally got an email with a combination lock number, still no staff, no breakfast,paid for 2 nights, stayed one night, no bike facilities, had to find a different location to stay the first night, worst experience ever!Guest review byAnonymous

We were served an amazing breakfast and Claudio and his mother Manuela are the best hosts you can ask for. Perfect location, extremely clean and tidy, thoughtful decor and great hard bed. Also loved that it has lots of nice windows for natural sun. Relatively quiet apart from Saturday as there is a bar close to the house. Perfect place for a relaxing holiday for couples or families. You can walk everywhere to Setúbal town.
