We cannot put into words how much we loved staying here! The room was great but the facilities were even better. The pool area was phenomenal that you don’t ever want to leave. They even have services such as massages and saunas and if you stay it’s a must you book these in! The breakfasts were absolutely amazing, definitely lived up to the hype and something we looked forward to each day. The only thing better than the facilities were the staff, everyone we spoke to was amazing and friendly we loved them all! Did I mention that it’s also in the most perfect spot walkable to everything you want in Abulfeira!

The environment was fantastic. The staff excellent. The resort does not cater for food directly but there were different restaurants dotted around the resort to pick and choose from. Walking distance to Local shop just outside the resort's gate for all other needs. The staff were so helpful and excellent WoW!!. The beach was great. The weather was not too cold nor too warm during the Christmas period, there was no need to have any jackets.

The suites were beautiful and spacious and the food was very good value with a thoughtful menu that catered for both adult and teens at the cafe. The staff were exceptional. Loved the staff - very friendly and helpful, I find staff and their attitude to be the best part of the experience. Location is nice however please note that the place is more suitable for slow vacationing. Breakfast was good and tasty, I would say it would lacked the diversity but everything was fresh and tasty.

Sun, Sand and The Strip!

One of the best Algarve resorts, Albufeira has wonderful beaches, turquoise waters and the dramatic, rocky coastline that makes this part of Portugal so special.

Naturally, life here is all about sun, sand and sea. The most popular Albufeira beach is Fisherman’s Beach and you can still see locals bringing in the fishing boats every morning - if you’re up early enough, that is. Tunnel Beach is accessed through an opening in the cliff, and both offer a variety of watersports.

Further up the coast is Albufeira Marina, from where sightseeing boat trips depart, while east of the town is the 9-hole Balaia golf course. On the way here, you pass Arias de Sao João, home to The Strip where the best bars and clubs are found, many staying open until the early hours.

The Old Town of Albufeira is more peaceful, and its cobbled streets house Moorish buildings and some great restaurants serving fresh fish. If you fancy a day trip from Albufeira, the 12th-century remains of Moorish Almoáda Castle in Paderne can be visited for free.

The town is around 45 minutes’ drive from Faro Airport and there is a fantastic range of beach resorts, small B&Bs and Albufeira apartments on Booking.com.

    Albufeira is by far one of the best places to visit. Went with Hubby, 21 and 24 yr old boy and girl. We visited mid August which we realized was peak season so the beaches were relatively crowded. However there are so many to choose from you can easily find a spot that's not too crowded. Eating out is very affordable on an average night out for family of 4 dinner is under $100, they drive on the R side of the road like the US... the euro is stronger than USD so get the EURO. Two of the fun group things to share: Go on the Barbeque boat/cave tour best deal for your money, Buggy countryside ride, good fun! Stayed 10 days and was on the flight back planning the return trip, only this time were thinking of a fall visit.

    Great party town but also great for families.

    Great party town but also great for families. We went as a 4 (my wife and I and our two 17yo kids) and everyone had a great time. Beaches: Plenty of space to spread out. Plenty of beach clubs where you can hire beds and shades and plenty of beach bars to have a drink. Old town: Very clean and felt safe even during the night. It livens up the later it gets up until about 2am when things start closing. Restaurants serve food until about 11pm so be aware of that if you're heading out later. Live music in loads of places as well as the standard dj/spotify playlists. During the day it's a lot quieter but still everywhere open for food and drinks. There are loads of little shops to buy holiday souvenirs from as well. The Strip: This is for the kids (and by kids I mean 18-25 year olds). It's just a road of pubs and clubs with one half blocked off from traffic. Open till 6am. We went, sat outisde and watched the fun unfold over a couple of beers while our kids went off and had a great time. Loads of offers for cheap drinks (especially earlier in the evening) but even once happy hour had finished it was still only 5 euro a pint. Probably a 30 minute walk from the old town. Other: Aldi, Lidl and a local supermarket are all on the main road to the north of the town that runs parallel to the beach. Aldi and Lidl are next door to each other and are about a 5-10 minute walk from the old town. The other one (Pingo Doce) is a 5-10 minute walk from the top of the strip. Uber is available and on a par with UK prices.

    the old town had a lot more to offer for families. shops, eateries, music, sports -soccer, cricket, GAA, tennis on TV ..the beaches were all along old town. boat rides, floating centre to jump off into the sea. all very central.. weather fabulous Newtown was for nite entertainment and clubbing. recommend uber for trips. taxis expensive.. we had a celebration in Jack's Irish bar at the marina. beautiful and food and staff very good

    A beautiful area to visit with plenty of sight seeing activities, walks and beaches. A good selection of boat trips which is a must. travel by car or Taxi (very reasonably priced). Loads of eating options and fresh fruit and veg is amazing.

    Albufeira is a busy place.

    Albufeira is a busy place. The old town square has gotten more busy so has lost some of its charm. In saying that there is something for everyone here. Dont be afraid to meander up side streets for some fab restaurants off the square.

    The location not far from New town and Old town, Marina de albufeira is 10 minutes walk, and there's 2 beaches near the hotel that is easy to reach by foot as well about 10 minutes walk to Sao Rafael Beach. We used uber taxi to go out, bus transport not good every 2 hours on time tables. taxi fares are cheap to me compared in UK. Faro airport to the hotel cost us 25-27 euro only and that is about 28 miles.

    We loved our stay at BayView Albufeira. The apartment was clean and big enough for a family of four. Paulo was really helpful and gave us all the information we needed prior to our arrival. The pool was great and we were also able to use the bigger pool and facilities in the 4* hotel down the road. Old Town is a 5 minute walk and Aldi and Lidl are very close if you want to cook in the apartment.

The hotel was exceptionally clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
