Stunning historical city full of cathedrals, beautiful architecture and museums. But highly modern and efficient public transport system. The riverside walks are lovely. Locals very friendly, and Poland is an excellent value country for a short stay. I could have stayed another 2 days quite easily. As a bonus, the city is immaculately clean. The National Museum is well worth seeing, but what really stood out was the City Museum in the Royal Palace. What disappointed was the Museum of 20th-Century Militaria and Armaments / Silesian Archaeological Museum as most of the labels were in Polish although handouts were available in English. The city is just amazing - it's an old European city with a lot of very interesting places to visit. Among everything else, I really enjoyed the zoo. There are literally hundreds of places where to eat and drink some amazing beer. I can recommend Hala Targowa, Piwnica Świdnicka, Św. Jan.
