The house is located in the center of Valencia. There is a good cafe on the ground floor, a 7/11 store is 5 minutes away. The room is bright and cozy. There is everything for a comfortable stay. The special feature of the room is the view of the mountains from the window. If you wish, you can go up to the roof from which you can watch sunrises and sunsets. I would especially like to thank the owner of the apartment for her responsiveness and help.

The hospitality of Alex and his family. The appartement is bigger than what I expected and very clean. The AC is knew and work perfectly. You can enjoy all day and night at the wonderful private pool. I stayed to rest and it was the most relaxing stay in Philippines.

We had booked this as we had been up since 2am and were trying to get a ferry to Siquijor which was fully booked. We chose this out of never due to its proximity to the port and price point. This turned out to be a gem. The property was clean and the bed was large it had a 7/11 downstairs and also a cafe too. The staff were so helpful, they let us check in early so we could sleep. And called a tuk tuk for us when it was time to leave for the ferry, as well as giving us helpful tips regarding the ferry. If only I had remembered because I would’ve left Siquijor earlier and then stayed the night again before flying out to Coron.

I love this new Hotel Dumaguete. It’s got an environmentally-friendly and contemporary design with artworks by local artists at every corner. But what impressed me the most was their impeccable customer service, the front desk staff and the entire breakfast crew (including Joy) were very friendly and attentive. Above all, they were all very swift and efficient at providing help. I had an unfortunate medical emergency one morning… the hotel had a van with a driver at the ready and the guard even carried me to the van! (Side note: calling for an ambulance in the Philippines is rarely the quickest way to get you to hospital). Long story short, they brought me to ER at the university hospital in time and I was able to get the urgent medical help that I needed. I was discharged late that evening and it was a pleasant surprise to see a basket of fruits with a get well card in my room from the hotel staff and management. Team Hotel Dumaguete, I cannot thank you enough for your kindness!

Everything was perfect and the restaurant has great food as well! I took a trike from the ferry port but could have easily walked to the hotel in less than 10 minutes.

    The proprietor pointed out for me to go early to the Sunday market in Valencia. And what a gem it was. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and coffee stalls, as well as the fruit and vegetable stalls. Valencia has some eateries and some bars along the main road into Dumaguete.
