Set in lovely location in old part of town with cobbled lanes, the hotel is fresh and clean. Run by a lovely couple, who are very friendly and helpful. We loved our stay here the most in all our travels of Peru.

WOW!!!! What an amazing experience!!!Carlos (the owner) picked us up in town and drove us to this magical place, the Star Dome. The pick up is included in the price. It is perched high on a mountain where you will see the most beautiful view of the valley with mountains all around you. It is absolutely breath taking!!! I cannot say enough about the feeling of awe and wonder looking out at the town below next to the river. We stayed in the suite with the most amazing huge double jacuzzi. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. And again the view was out of this world. We had a private walk way to get to our room with a private deck that over looked the gorgeous views. It is an absolute feast for your eyes. Each unit is carefully designed for privacy and tranquility. Breakfast was included and very tasty. There is plenty of filtered water, coffee and an assortment of teas (including cocoa and fresh mint) available all day long for free. Dinners were the best that we had in Peru- very fresh and plentiful. The staff were so nice and treated us like family. Carlos made sure to connect with each one of us. On each guests’ arrival, I saw him personally walked each guest to show them the property and did a cocoa leaf ceremony in the look out. We were only booked for one night but stayed for two. We also came back for two more nights at the end of our trip. The luxury and beauty of this place leaves you definitely wanting to come back. If you want to feel connected to nature and have an authentic and magical experience in Peru- the Star Dome is for you. The pictures are beautiful but the experience is 1000 times better! Thank you Carlos and the amazing team at Star Dome!!! We can’t wait to go back ❤️

It was perfect. From the first message i sent to staff via booking to the last transfer to railway station. Amazing place, thank you so much! They helped us with everything: transfer, driver, guide. Breakfast was so good, we really enjoyed. Staff was very friendly. Dinner was good too, thanks to chef. It was warm in the room, we had a fireplace and a nice view.

Amazing new hotel that opened 6 months ago, everything is new. The bed is super comfortable, big Samsung smart TV. Huge towels and the bathroom and shower is awesome with burning hot water. The staff is really nice and friendly, I enjoyed my stay here and it is probably the best hotel in town. By the way the hotel is right on the main plaza so no need to walk on cobblestone with a suitcase which is nice. Definitely recommend this hotel !

When we booked the Anido Hotel, it didn't even have a single review because it had just opened. But what can I say? We definitely didn't regret it! We initially only booked one night through Booking, but due to a case of illness we extended our stay in Ollantaytambo and thus in the Anido Hotel on site. + The hotel is a small but fine family-run accommodation in the tiny, beautiful town of Ollantaytambo, from where you can take perfect tours to Machu Picchu or the surrounding Sacred Valley. + Hidden in a small, original alley, 1-2 minutes walk from the Plaza Principal, the hotel has a perfect, peaceful location. You can feel the nature all around you, and yet you can get anywhere quickly. The train station is about an easy 15-minute walk or 3 minutes by tuk-tuk. + In terms of taste, it is a simple but beautifully furnished hotel. Next to the rooms there is a kind of covered courtyard with a mural, which is used as a breakfast room, as well as a small outdoor area. There is also a small shop where you can buy souvenirs. + Breakfast consists of a simple buffet. You can also order egg dishes as desired. But as I know the team at the Anido Hotel, they also accommodate special requests, you just need to ask! + In general, the staff were extremely helpful, and I would like to particularly highlight Carmen here. She was there to help us with advice and support when we had to spontaneously change our plans due to the illness mentioned. I could go into more detail about how much she helped us, but unfortunately there is not enough space here. Summary: Very, very good value for money. You not only get a charming, clean room, but also included breakfast and excellent guest service. And all that in a nice location. We would be happy to come back!

    Awesome characterful town well worth an overnight stay. We would love to return. The archeological site is stunning but don’t forget to spend some time exploring Pinkuylluma. The hike is steep and challenging but short and so worth it.

    Strongly recommend to stay in the city instead of doing your...

    Strongly recommend to stay in the city instead of doing your Machu Picchu trip from Cusco directly. It would be much less tiring and the city of Ollantaytambo is very cosy and comfortable. Specially if you are coming from outside Cusco and flying in, my recommendation to fly into Cusco and go straight to Ollantaytambo, stay here and visit Machu Picchu. Following by this, go back to Cusco for your stay and fly back. This was a good way we thought to beat the potential high altitude sickness.

    Ollantaytambo is a very interesting place in itself.

    Ollantaytambo is a very interesting place in itself. It can also be used as a starting point to visit Machu Picchu and other interesting archeological sites around. It's about 2 hours from Cusco by taxy.

    A delightful small town set in dramatic scenery. A bustling town square and a quieter and interesting old quarter with a variety of bars and restaurants The two sets of ruins either side of town are worth a visit for the views.

    If going to Machu Picchu or hiking the inca trail, it's better to stay in Ollantaytambo than Cusco. Otherwise you have a 2 hour bus drive to Ollantaytambo anyway to catch the train. Cute old Incan town with amazing ruins.

    Just an amazing place.

    Just an amazing place. We loved it so much we were afraid Cuzco wouldn’t measure up (but it did). Great place to acclimate for the higher altitude of Cuzco. There is a free hike up the mountain, the square is a great place to relax and people watch, the people are friendly.

    The hotel has a great atmosphere. It is located at the foot of one of the mountains and faces the other. The room has glass windows that allow you to see the beautiful nature. The room is spacious, clean and the shower water is very hot. The location is a stone's throw from the center of Ollantaytambo. The breakfast is simple, sufficient and very tasty. The hotel staff is very helpful and the pets are very friendly. They even offered us a snack before we left for the trip to MatchuPicchu, which was very early.

    The employees are super friendly. We had to leave the hotel at 5 am, and since breakfast wasn't ready at that time, they had a small lunch prepared for us. We were also recommended a restaurant when we were hungry and looking for something to eat, and their recommendation was excellent: the Mawic restaurant. Overall, Ollantaytambo is a beautiful place, the people are very friendly, and it's affordable.

    Really well located for the station if you are going to Machu Picchu. Fredy was incredibly helpful and helped us book a driver and guide for part of the Sacred Valley on the way to Ollantaytambo. Beds were comfortable and a pleasant stream ran at the back of the property. Good breakfast, which starts at 6am so that you can eat before your train.
