National Park walks were stunning and the area truly deserves its World Heritage status. You could choose the difficulty and timing of your hikes. Easy to find your way round. Use some sandfly repellent and soother on hikes as you might be bitten. The bites are not pleasant and take a few days to stop itching. It's a decent small town in the middle of no where in rural nature. Close to the National Park town and Tongariro/ Ruapehu mountains. No real commodities in terms of gas stations and shops however but the National Park Town is only 5 minutes away.Guest review bySaahirNew Zealand - 4.0
