The main point of our trip was to visit Hobbiton Movie Set. This is an amazing experience, our second trip. Have done both the lunch & dinner experience. Food, staff & experience rate a 10. Had a great meal at Sofra, food & staff were great. Breakfast at The Rich Coffee Cafe was nice and the staff were ok. Matamata was a complete surprise.
Matamata was a complete surprise. We ate at 4 different restaurants and each place had friendly staff and good selections on the menus. The information centre staff were wonderful and very helpful. The bed was comfy, and the TV was big. Plus, you can park right outside your door. The best part about the main bedroom is that it doesn't have any windows, so it's really dark and quiet in the morning. It's perfect for a good night's sleep!
