AustraliaLoved our stay here, it was the highlight of our trip to NZ. We stayed in the yurt and found it to be very comfortable. The views are fantastic and enjoyed the hike up to the Queen charlotte track. Ian’s bread in the morning was a great way to start the day.

GermanyOutstanding friendly staff, they make you feel like home, and they make an incredible good pizza (we had the chicken plum - highly recommend)
The place is really magical, you stay at the Fjord and can discover it kayaking, hiking or biking. If you're lucky you can see bioluminescent plankton glowing in the sea at night, beautiful stars and glow worms. You can watch the sunrise from the hot tup. It's a place to enjoy! You should stay there at least 2 days. The only thing we didn't like was that we didn't stay longer ;)
If there would be an 11. Star, they would have earned it!
... And there is a chimney burning all day ... We had breakfast in front of it :)

No one told us that we should have caught the Ferry to Punga...
No one told us that we should have caught the Ferry to Punga Cove from Picton. We drove for hours only to find out that the road was closed for maintenance. Very annoying and we had to wait for hours to drive through a very short window of time to get through. Apparently Booking.com was told by the property, but the Booking.com did not tell us. Once we figured out the transportation to get to the lodge, everything was easy and well organized. It’s a fabulous place to be both active and relax: it’s right on the Queen Charlotte Track, we borrowed the kayaks, and we swam in the water. We also enjoyed sitting in the hammocks and relaxing in the hot tub. The food was delicious (though I found the prices a bit high for NZ) and enjoyed in their lovely dining room or patio. The view from the room amazing and the room itself very comfortable with a very good bathroom. We didn't have breakfast because were leaving early I so can't comment on that but the evening meal was good and food and drinks were no pricier than the mainland which was nice given that they do have a captive market somewhat.
