this property is a brilliant a home away from home. i loved it so much everything was clean and well taken care of. i was very impressed and it came with Fernando the garden boy that helped us and never left the property he cleaned and was very helpful. i appreciate this and the host for being so accommodating. I loved my time at Underwater Explorer! Both my stay and the diving were absolutely wonderful. The accommodation is simple and sufficient - perfect for a solo-traveler on a budget. I especially loved the laid-back and homey atmosphere, and I was very thankful for the good mosquito net and a strong fan in my room. The small pool is perfect for cooling off and lounging by the bar, plus it has an epic ocean view. And for an outdoor kitchen, the place is well-kept thanks to the hardworking housekeeping team, and well-stocked with cooking utensils, free coffee/tea, and plenty of refrigerators! The dive operation is well-organized, fun, and safe. My gear was well cared for, and the rental gear was in great condition. Shout out to the friendliest team of instructors and DMTs (Anísio + Liam, & Dirk, Laura, + Brandon), captain Tito, and all the guys working on the boats who made sure I had an amazing time. Everyone was very helpful from pre-trip planning to arrival (thank you for answering all of my questions, Martin!!!), and throughout my stay. I felt welcomed immediately and wish I had stayed more than 1 week! I’m so happy I chose to dive and stay at Underwater Explorer and am looking forward to my next trip. 10/10 would recommend.

Owners, Beverly and Mandy went out of their way. Service exceptional. Felt like a second home, very welcoming. All the staff were friendly and went out of their way to provide the best service ever. Tony, for your amazing meals. Elzia for your fast and efficient service. Chico for your service, dropping and picking up, always with a smile. We definitely have never had service like this on any other holiday and will be coming back, without a doubt. Thank you, Gala-gala!

In Jauary 2025 I stayed there for only 3 nights, but i would have liked to stay longer. The staff in particular Sean were incredibly friendly, helpful with information and calm. Sean is a very interesting man and I got a lot of information even before i arrived. I liked talking to him and learned a little more about Mozambique. I felt very welcome. The complex is close to the beach and centrally located for exploring Ponta do Ouro and like a little green oasis. The tent was very large and comfortable, i was lucky to see some different geckos, big snails and a little green snake. The Wifi in the common aera is very good. Also the the breakfast and lunch was very yummy, they even offer free coffee, tea and water all day. I would come back, clear recommendation***
