We stayed in JR resort for a total of 4 days, 3 nights. It was great! The breakfast was delicious and very filling. There is a choice of fried rice or fried noodles and a beverage of your choice. There is restaurant called JR Kitchen, we would go there for dinner and the food served was delicious. I highly recommend Korean Chicken Wings, Nasi Goreng Pattaya. It was good and worth the price paid! The room is clean and the view in morning was beautiful. The weather can reach up to 18 degrees celcius. So it's best to bring extra blankets since their comforter/blankets are quite thin. There is no fridge to store your food but it doesn't really matter to us because a drive down the resort and around the Kundasang area there are shops, food places and even Bataras Superstore. There is also a place where you can take pictures of the scenary. It's beautiful. The staffs here are also very friendly. Overall, we really enjoyed the stay here and we would come again soon. Btw, for the price paid, it was worth it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lin and family were so welcoming - they were the best hosts! The house and gardens are beautiful and is set in a remote area with views of the mountains. Our room was cosy and clean. We slept so well. There is a nice friendly, safe atmosphere. Lin made us a vegan dinner with short notice and the food was tasty and very good value for money. All facilities available including shower, toilet, and little kitchen area for coffee. We will definitely be recommending this stay to our friends and family in future. Such a little gem.

    Beautiful and great place to experience. Enjoy the whole trip. We plan to return fit & strong to trek Mount Kinabalu. Don't miss out. Great place for a family holiday. Don't have to travel to Europe to gain such a fascinating view, Only be mindful, a lot of uphill if u wanna walk around. Great place for retirement if u love trekking n love nature. Love the attitude of road users. No horn

    Easy to go around Ranau if you have own car.

    Easy to go around Ranau if you have own car. Got many places available for food. If not, you can just go to KFC. The attractive places may be quite far from the town but as I said, its better to rent car and travel on your own sweet time.

    Kundasang Ranau is the best place to spend time with family...

    Kundasang Ranau is the best place to spend time with family and friends. We can find a spectacular view a long the way. Mesilou Kundasang is my fevourite place. Accomodate with a lot of homestay and a place for sightseing. Early in the morning you can hike to Sosodikon Hill for a better magestic view of Kinabalu Mountain. Later fill your whole day walking around Mesilou. Famous Dairy Farm, D'Mesilou Rabbit Garden , Alpaca Club the newest animal attraction, Mesilou highland Strawberry where you can try the fresh and strawberry and open for dine in. Spring Garden. A sanctuary where flowers bloom all year around and lush of greenery, with a view of mount Kinabalu. At night spent your time at Hooga Cafe. You can try the different dishes(food and drinks) and visit the Kundasang Farmville next to cafe where your kids can play at the playground. My view of opinion, before you plan to visit Kundasang, you need to book homestay early to avoid any circumstances.

    Ranau is another choice to stay for the night while doing...

    Ranau is another choice to stay for the night while doing day activity to Poring Hotspring and the other tourist attractions. There are a few choices for restaurants according to my taste. The temperature drops down in the evening and it feels refreshing. Friendly people and good environment.

    The landscape is dominated by Mt Kinabalu, and it's worth...

    The landscape is dominated by Mt Kinabalu, and it's worth heading off in different directions to see it from different angles. From the Sabah Tea Garden it is less angled, softer. The walks range between steep and flat; under rainforest canopy or through sunlit tea plantations. We stayed for five days, but wish it had been five weeks. We hired a car which made getting around very easy and allowed us to stop at any time to take photos.

    Just 'down the road' from Poring Hot Springs, so a good location for those wanting to spend time at the Hot Springs (warning park closes at 16:00hrs, despite Sabah Parks website stating 17:00 hrs, so we missed the only attraction in town). A quiet location with very friendly host family. Each room had an ensuite but the kitchen and TV room were in common areas.
