Had a late check in. Staff stayed up late and remained in contact with me until I reached the guesthouse. There was plenty of water available on arrival and the bed was comfortable. The area was peaceful and we slept like babies.

Be surprised! Despite an unusual entrance and two stories of easy stairs, these rooms are first class- 5 star- and seriously the most comfortable sleep I have had in memory. Beautiful bedding and all the bathroom accessories to match. Great location close to the waterfront and great food and bars.

Top class customer service. Friendly hosts that were extremely helpful, with proactive and professional communication. The quality of the room was great - one of the most comfortable beds we have stayed in during our travels with good quality towels, linen and pillows too. Well priced and a nice local area. We ended up staying an extra night, in a different room, and had a consistent experience.

A splendid property with a gigantic, impeccably clean room. Extremely convenient for the airport (just 5 minutes by taxi at a very low cost) and relatively convenient for getting to the city center by taxi as well. I'm truly impressed with this place and would recommend it to anyone. Compared to the average options in Kota Kinabalu, this place shines like the sun of the future.

Tropical Paradise in East Malaysia

Kota Kinabalu (KK) is the capital of the East Malaysian state of Sabah on the island of Borneo. It features white-sand beaches, tropical rainforests and the outer lying coral reefs and islands of the Tunku Abdul Rahman (TAR) Marine Park, a haven for scuba divers.

Occupied by the Japanese and heavily bombed during World War II by the British, some remnants of this colonial era remain in the Atkinson Clock Tower and Signal Hill Observatory, with its sweeping view of the coast.

Tanjung Arn is KK’s most popular public beach and secluded northern beaches like Karambunai and Dalit have resorts dotted along the coast.

    Kota Kinabalu is the most cosmopolitan of the cities in Sarawak and Sabah. Shopping is good, plenty of eateries and the inner city is walkable . The traffic like in all Malaysian cities is horrific. I want to point out that taxies in Malaysia don't have meters any more and charge for transport whatever the want (always to much) compared to Grab/Uber.

    I love Kota Kinabalu.

    I love Kota Kinabalu. There are a lot of nice restaurants, and there are some beautiful islands you can get to. I also love the local restaurants and the dessert places like the Royal Coconut. I would definitely go back again.

    Great scenery, great food, just need to be careful with the safety, sometimes you can see some homeless people in the street, and too many promoters, the local authority might need to enforce on the road safety and supervision on the overall hygine.

    There are many interesting places to visit for example the Medical Science Musuem, Aquarium and Art Gallery located in University Sabah Campus. The Filipino market nice souvenir items but you will need to bargain. For seafood lovers, this is a fantastic place to satisfy your cravings. Island hopping is also great. Good idea to bring along your own pre-packed food and drinks unless you do not need to budget expenses. Just people watching whilst enjoying a cool drink is also an eye opener. There are many differences with what prevails in West M'sia. I also loved the fact that the airport was just about 20 minutes drive away from the hotel - so convenient and time (cost) saving

    The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the view was amazing. The host very friendly & helpful with highly quality service. They make our stay enjoyable. Excellent property with sea view and had great sunset view. Very convenient to do many activities especially island hoping, just walk a few minute to the Jesselton jetty. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting KK.

    The location of the hotel is great. Jesselton Quay, from where the boats depart for the small islands, is just a few minutes' walk away. The hotel is well equipped. Breakfast is worthwhile, especially for lovers of Asian food. Dinner is also recommended. The cocktails in the bar are excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
