Sliema is a perfect area for tourists it easy to get around when you learn your way around and there everything to do there shopping, going to the the Beach to do water activities, boat trips, lots of restaurants and cafes. Sliema is a lovely place for a walk, a run or a swim.
Sliema is a lovely place for a walk, a run or a swim. There are several coffee shops and restaurants. The city could be improved a lot but it is not in the local mentality. There are some lovely Sicilian coffee shops around and with as little as 8 euros you can buy 11 delicious "pastizzi" and a meat pie.... enough to feed 5-6 people. Some of the better experiences in terms of restaurants were Felice at the Gzira sea-front, Oka at Balluta Bay (St. Julians) and Barracuda, just meters away from the church. Many lovely bars and particularly noteworthy was Reno's in Howard Street, Sliema where you can drink to your hearts content without going broke.Guest review byPierre - 10.0

The Preluna Hotel is situated in Tower Road. This is the most sought after location by tourists and Maltese alike. Excellent spot for walking along the Qui Si Sana, Exiles, Spinola up to St Julian's promenade. On another note, this area is full of good restaurants.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Sliema was a great location as close to ferry, buses etc so easy to travel to different parts of the island. Sliema itself was a lovely area with nice restaurants, bars and variety of shops. Favourite restaurants were Lou's, Felice Brasserie and Tiffany's Bistro. He was simply amazing and treated us like if we were in a 5 star Hotel. In addition Joanna upstairs in the breakfast area was super friendly and helpful every day, we were treated really well and would not doubt to come back again.
