Great location to explore Mdina. The old city is a 5 minutes walk. The hotel is a real boutique hotel, the attention to detail is amazing. Breakfast is served in a very stylish cozy room, good coffee,, friendly staff, enough to choose from. For general use the is is a roof terrace with a hot tub with a nice view towards the old city. Lunch tip: Maria's pastry, dining tip: the mondion Michelin restaurant or TownhouseNo3, both verry good with food and wines.

We had an unforgettable night in this beautiful palace from the 12th century, run by a wonderful couple, Omar and Sandra. They, as hosts, made us feel at home, but a home from a fairy tale. Everything is decorated with style and elegantly renovated to preserve the historical atmosphere of a palazzo. The whole space is authentic and elevated, but jet-warm and welcoming. Breakfast is for every recommendation. Perfect fresh French croissants are served, and the entire menu is carefully selected, from eggs benedict to perfect muesli and fresh juice from local oranges. Dinner is also delicious, fine dining with the chef doing his best craft, and the restaurant has a magnificent view of Mdina. We regret that we only booked one night, We are definitely coming back for more days and we will carry this magical day in our hearts forever. Warmest recommendations for Palazzo Bifora and its wonderful owners and staff.

This is the review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "A perfect stay, and I can’t wait to return!" From the moment I stepped into Howard House Hotel, I knew this was going to be a very special stay. Every inch of the space exudes elegance, from the carefully preserved 150-year-old architectural details, including the charming "garigor" staircase, to the incredible collection of original contemporary art—some of which were created by the host herself. The attention to detail is simply unmatched, making this boutique hotel a true hidden gem. A Room That Redefines Five-Star Luxury The moment I opened the door to my room, I was blown away by the level of luxury. The bedding and linens were absolute perfection, soft and crisp, making for an incredibly restful night’s sleep. The pillow menu was a particularly thoughtful touch, ensuring that every guest finds their perfect level of comfort. The room was designed with true five-star indulgence in mind—a fully stocked mini-bar, an impressive wine menu, and a sleek coffee station complete with a high-end coffee machine ensured I had everything I needed at my fingertips. The bathrobes and slippers added a touch of luxury, and the in-room safe provided extra peace of mind. Every little detail had been carefully considered to create an experience that rivals the best five-star hotels in the world. A Breakfast Worth Waking Up For Morning at Howard House Hotel is nothing short of a treat. The warm, inviting atmosphere made breakfast feel like an intimate experience rather than just another hotel meal. The beautifully presented buffet offered a variety of hot and cold savory delights, all fresh and of the highest quality. This is an excellent house- one of the best I ever booked in Malta! Not only is the old Palazzo beautifully renovated but the equipment is just excellent! They even have a water filter system so you don’t need to buy water in the plastic bottles…!! Kitchen has everything you need, the bedrooms are spacious, the mess comfortable! We loved this house! Also the owners were always so friendly and supportive, we could leave the luggage before check in. Thank you!

I must say that the hotel is really nice. The staff is really helpful I will mention Alisa from reception she is really nice and helps me and all my family a lot. What ever you ask her she is there to help so I think the hotel is really happy to have her. They have a nice pool but it's winter so we couldn't use it unfortunately. The person in the night shifts Amin he is nice and really friendly. You can use the bus as a cheaper option to transfer especially if you are with family but it takes forever. Tickets cost 2 EUR and for kids is free.

Absolutely perfect! Pleasant and helpful staff. Close to the bus stop, a few minutes' walk to the ferry terminal. The room is cozy, clean, comfortable bed and especially pillows. Air conditioning, or heating in winter. Breakfast made from fresh local ingredients, excellent coffee, they also think of people with food intolerances. We felt great, if we could, we would definitely stay longer.

    A delightful small, quiet city....it was nice to stay within...

    A delightful small, quiet city....it was nice to stay within the walls of the city for the nighttime experience. It became the silent city. not a lot to see, but what is there was interesting. Rabat is literally a short walk across a pedestrian friendly bridge with lots of activity. Certainly Mdina is worth a visit.

    Hotel is perfect: very good breakfast with many choices, clean and comfortable rooms. Terrace and views are amazing. We were at parties which were close so location was really good! And staff is so, so nice, lovely and unnoticable. We woke up late almost every day, and they respected this and never knock on the door or cleaned other rooms loudly. Next time in Malta I would book this hotel again.

    Maison Medina exceeded our expectations. Beautiful property with fantastic service. The property was meticulously set up. Bed was very comfortable too. The view of the Mdina from the rooftop terrace was a bonus. Mdina was also just across the street. Anita, who hosted us was outstanding. She made us feel so welcomed.

    How could you not review this hotel and give it 20 out of 10. From the first moment, you enter to the sadness of the door closing as you left. Everything was perfect.
