Skopje is a mix of everything. They decided to "borrow" different things from different places, in a strange way. Skopje's a strange city - largely because the entire city...
Skopje's a strange city - largely because the entire city centre has been rebuilt after the 1960s earthquake and the fall of Yugoslavia, and is now inundated with vast statues and grandiose buildings (never mind the weird pirate ships in the Vardar River). We love it nonetheless. Everything is maximalist, but the riverside restaurants are excellent and the museums aren't afraid of confronting the horrors and ironies of the past. Just be careful when getting into a taxi ... Albania, Kosovo and N. Macedonia are not countries in which to be naive on that score.Guest review byTomBulgaria

The room and bathroom were comfortable, clean and warm (there is AC that's working without any issue). Bathrobe, toiletries, and slippers were included. We had a room with a balcony but we didn't open it as basically it has a view of another hotel's wall.
