Delightful place surrounded by nature, family-run, managed by a very kind lady 🌸The host is always available to recommend activities nearby and to provide transportation services at honest prices 🛺Very clean rooms. The best cuisine we have tried in Sri Lanka, the lady is the queen of the stove! 🥘Recommended for both breakfast and dinner! Great place to stay in Anuradhapura! In a lovely quiet location on the edge of town with a lovely back garden overlooking the lake. Convenient to the temples but peaceful - the breeze from the lake made the garden a lovely place to relax after visiting the temples. Milan and his family are wonderful hosts and the home cooked food is great. My room was also spotless and very comfortable. Milan also organized perfect tuk-tuk trips for me with an excellent driver who also acted as guide. Siri was extremely knowledgeable about his hometown and the temples - he did not simply parrot what it says in the guidebooks! This was a truly exceptional place to stay when visiting Anuradhapura!

Absolutely liked everything about the Residence by Amaya. Relaxed ambience, convenient location closer to Anuradhapura town and other main attractions of the city. Nimal was really nice, hospitable and always willing go an extra mile, anything you need he will find it. He arrange a bicycle for free and went to see the temples around. Also companied me to see the sunset in his bike. He is a good man will take you to eat at local and cheap places. Thanks 😊
