Beautiful small hotel - just four rooms - in a traditional Tamil house. Friendly staff, nice pool. Food can be ordered from a restaurant nearby and is then served in the hotel. Great service!

I booked this property for my parents and their cousins. They really enjoyed the stay. They told me that the manager and the staff were really welcoming and friendly. They also mentioned that the breakfast was as really tasty with a good spread of authentic SL food.

Location is good. Room is very clean .my room cleaning boy (nishanth) is doing his jobb very will. Breakfast is very very good. Restaurant employees are caring us when we entered to the restaurant. Our room was fantastic. We had a living room area with a big TV and good English channels. There is a large fridge to keep your drinks and snacks cold. A table with 2 chairs for sitting at if working or to use for making coffee or tea with the kettle and mugs provided. A separate bedroom with a large king bed was super comfortable. The mattress was not too hard and the linen was pure cotton. A light duvet is perfect for the temperature. The pillows were 2 per person, 1 king and 1 normal and also so comfortable. We had a good-sized cupboard to hang our clothes, a safe, and an ironing board. The bathroom was en-suite with a good, hot shower, toilet, and basin. The bedroom opened up onto a backyard patio with comfortable benches to sit on if you wanted to be outside but still at your room. The aircon in both the living room and bedroom worked perfectly. They also provide a large umbrella for your use. The swimming pool is lovely, with deck chairs, soft cushions, and shade provided. They also give you swimming pool towels. There is a good-sized gym which we did not use but it looked fully stocked with all the necessary equipment. We ordered room service a few times and the service and food were very good. The actual dining room is fantastic and we enjoyed an evening feasting on a Sri Lankan buffet with loads of different dishes. The staff were all amazing and so helpful. We were able to park our car on the premises where a full-time guard is stationed. They even washed the car for us. It was sad to say goodbye but we loved our stay here in Jaffna.

    Jaffna is still an unspoiled and hidden gem of a city. People are super friendly and the city is bustling and easy to navigate. There is a beech just outside the city center which is quiet and beautiful. It was very hot when we visited in july but we did not mind this at all.

    Jaffna is lovely city and it’s a shame we didn’t stay longer. It has changed a lot since our last visit 7 years ago with a lot more development but a shame so many franchises have opened up. It has a nice mix of tourist attractions and yet maintains its charm as a local area. The Rio ice cream is the best! I wish we had more time to enjoy local cuisine.

    Jaffna is a hot place and therefore the transport facilities should facilitate the climate. Jaffna is also not clean as compared to the other places in Sri Lanka. Need a concerted public awareness campaign to all residents of Jaffna. People's attitude should change !!!

    We visited the The Jaffna Library, Fort, Point Pedro, Velvettithurai, Thalaiyadi Beach, Keerimala Sacred springs, Dambakola Patuna Temple, Nallur Kovil and KKS - On our way back to Colombo we stopped at Elephant Pass, Ree Cha leisure park and the Iranamadu water reservoir - Fabulous trip which helps us to explore the rich culture of Jaffna along with the beauty of a village with mesmerizing memories,

    Jaffna is a beautiful place to visit. Places and temples are beautifully crafted with ancestral works. People we met were friendly and courteous. Places like Nallur Kandaswamy Temple, Nagadeepa Vihara and Nagapooshani Amman Temple in an island, and few other places, it’s beyond words. Need to feel the atmosphere personally to have the divine presence and connection within one’s self. Best food eatery place for us is Jaffna Authentic Cuisine. Getting around places is convenient with auto and grab cabs too.

    Fox Jaffna is a lovely hotel, which is well located for all the sights in Jaffna. The food was exceptional with a wide range of choice but we can definitely recommend the local cuisine- crab curry particularly.     Jaffna is struggling to recover from the Civil war, the economic crisis and Covid, The hotel is trying to catch up, but it is struggling. I would recommend staying here, but do not expect an updated hotel. The staff were kind and helpful. We were happy we travelled to Jaffna, and we hope tourism increases to help support the economy..

    We had a great stay at the hotel in Jaffna. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, new, and comfortable. We were very satisfied with our stay. Breakfast was also always good. We will definitely come back again. Thank you!
